My least autistic reply is: anatomical variants and chromosomal aberrations are inborn; transsexualism isn't.

My more autistic reply concerns the notion of "objectivity" in Science. The word "objectivity" has at least two relevant sense here: true to an individual, and true to a group as a whole. Often the two senses are in conflict, and Science, through with averages and abstractions, privileges the latter sense, hence the "objective" models in textbooks don't exactly fit most individual cases. I won't delve into this, but you may read Oxford University Press's short pamphlet Objectivity - A Very Short Introduction

TRAs still haven't given a solid reason as to why "gender identity" should be what determines who someone is when that has way more flaws than biological sex. For all these people's arguments about why biological sex is "flawed" you can ask these people several questions about gender identity and watch them completely contradict themselves or just simply go "Trust me bro". For example, how do we determine someone who is identifying as a woman is being genuine and not just being a pervert who is trying to gain access to women's bathrooms? These are the same people who claim "That person was never trans" whenever a TIP commits a crime or they detransitioned. In fact, I think you @TruffleSpark have the post, but /r detrans had a post where OP asked angrily "What is true trans" because they claimed that they did have dysphoria, went through transitioning, and was praised by the community for being brave, but as soon as they detrans then it was "you were never really trans". Again, this whole "Biological sex is flawed" always wind up being irrelevant because the TRA alternative with "gender" or "gender identity" are worthless concepts altogether.

Yes that's the thread, thanks! To answer your question about the contradictions between gender identity being innate but them also accepting genderfluid, my friend gave me the answer "Gender doesn't have to be a binary thing, hence why non binary people exist" but this goes back into what I said where trannies are setting up their arguments to where no one can refute their central theory of what being trans is. If gender is innate then it can't be fluid, but if it is fluid then it can't be innate. Ironically, I looked up this question and this Reddit thread was the first thing I find. Here are the top comments. Troons admit that no one knows much about how gender identity works. I also find it funny how the last comment tells OP to avoid assumptions and yet they made a big one in said comment claiming how a gender fluid brain works.

I agree with this. "Biological male/female" is a political dogwhistle, there's only simply male and female. The only reason you would need add "biological" aka "original" into it is if you're operating off the idea that a person can change sex.

Her real name is Jen McCreight and she even worked for 23AndMe for a time - literally worked for a company named after the # of sex chromosomes humans are supposed to have and pooned out despite that.

ETA: For those who do not know, Jen McCreight was one of the founders of a movement called Atheism Plus (Atheism+) that hijacked the American atheist movement in the early 2010s and turned it into a vehicle for hard-left politics, with anyone who disagreed or got in its way smeared as a racist or even a rapist. Nobody point out that those claims were by and large fabricated, or that at least one Atheism+ member openly admitted to covering up rape allegations leveled at himself.

It's not too different from happened to any number of other nerd subcultures (games journalism, vidya, anything to do with WotC) but at the time it was a brand new phenomenon. It would not surprise me if it was something of a template for other, similar takeovers.

And this is why legislation shouldn’t be based on gender. It’s like love - many people believe it exists but you can’t legislate for love. The state laws are based around marriage and proof of that marriage. We all know people who are in love but not married and people who are married but aren’t in love. But if you have a marriage certificate, you will be treated the same as a couple in love or out of love.
