One thing I've always noticed in these pictures are the noses.
Yeah I know, "tumblr nose" and so on. But that's not what I mean. When you learn to draw one of the key abilities you must master is learning how to draw objective shapes; measurable, precise geometric entities rather than what you merely "think" is present. Doing the latter is a faux pas known as symbol drawing.
When you move on to drawing faces you start to notice facets of the human profile, like everything else, have unique characteristics. One of the most variable pieces is the human nose. Blacks have broad, flat noses; slavic people have petite, upturned noses; semitic people have long, downward noses. There are exceptions in every demographic of course, but as you draw more varied profiles you start to notice these differences. They're as objective as the shapes you've learned to create.
Most of tumblr can't draw, that's easily demonstratable. But the degree to which they can't draw, relying purely on what they feel is there rather than what actually is, becomes downright astounding when you look for it. It helps explain why so many of these characters have bulbous koala bear noses, deprived of any character or origin or reference to actual life.
It's a weird sort of wish fulfillment for them. "Maybe one day everyone in the world will be a brown gender-ambiguous ugly blob."

Well according to the creators he is pansexual and presumably at least part Hispanic since his last name is Sanchez, but that's it as far as what's canon. None of that genderspecial brown-skinned sparkleshit Rick nonsense is anything other than tumblr being tumblr. Considering Morty has fathered a biological child in canon I think it's safe to say trans Morty is definitely not canon either (which makes me wonder if they've even watched the show or just jerked off to each other's gendersparkle shota fetish porn).

If you hadn't mentioned it was Rick, I would have thought it was someone's OC. Same goes for the Rayman pic. jfc why not make your own characters instead of changing existing ones? Especially when they change them to the point that they're so far removed from their original selves that anyone else might not recognize them?
