He really did, he didn't have the most flashy in-ring style but he worked smarter, hes like the only wrestler I legitimately cannot recall a time where he was injured
So many of this generation is going to have serious issues when they hit their late 40s or even younger in same cases (Darby and Janela)

Good for Miz for working smarter and taking care of himself

So many people idolized Mick Foley for the risk taking while ignoring the fact he constantly regrets the dumb shit he did chasing diminishing returns and that he got bigger reactions putting a sock on his hand

The original Saturday Night's Main Event theme was a pop song about people wanting to fuck.

The songs they used back in the day were just as lame and gay. You just like lame, gay stuff when you're young.

The point I was making is that it was used because it was popular, not because it was good, but yeah, exactly Senor Beavis.

Cornette got roasted in the comments for writing off Oba Femi because of his accent :story:

Jim hates the fact that despite his best efforts he's still the racist heckin gross hick he himself takes the piss out of. He doesn't even realize just how unacceptable his very being is to the audience he's trying to court. But it does lead to funny shit like this.

I wonder if Kenny is going to be his last opponent. They recently did a reunion video where they hinted at a future match.
Would be dope especially if Kenny can atleast go 75%. I am curious what Tanahashi will do after. I assume will work as an agent or a liaison.

To defend cornette here. Oba Femi has had segments where he didn't speak without an accent.

Similar to this Kofi thing segment

Think his issue is if he doesn't have the accent naturally why put it on like Kofi's jamacian accent before the segment above.

Very shitty from the "journalists" at last nights post-PPV media scrum when it came to how they treated Mariah May. She was brought on stage and only one guy bothered to ask her a question.

She got visibly annoyed and Schiavone and Mc Guiness pretty much covered for her while she just got up and left after a couple of minutes. Granted, her title reign so far has been fairly meh but surely some dipshit bloggers could have thrown a few boilerplate standard questions at her. The same cunts complain about the women on AEW being an afterthought but also show zero interest in what they are doing.

100% agree. Journalist suck and Wrestling Journalist are trash. It's amazing how you can't even come with 3 preloaded questions.
I missed her match at wrestle dream but you could easily ask

1. How do you think your match went and What do you think of Willow as a competitor
2. Mina is currently touring in Japan with Toni what are your feelings on that?
3. Whats next in store for the AEW womans champion. You already are at the top are you looking to add more titles to your run potentially a match with Athena in ROH.

Even Alverez was there and didn't ask shit. If all they wanted was a quote/comment from Tony then all the would need to do is go on twitter say Tony is the greatest and he would likely DM them and they could set it up.

While he almost died in the cell match against Taker, it's still going to be remembered as one of the most legendary/infamous matches ever, and speaking about Taker, he's also been worn down by all the bumps he's taken and 30 years of tombstones. He's had both his hips and knees replaced.

The Miz respect in this threat brings warmth to my icy heart.
I've been a Miz fan since his ECW run! I think it all started via the webshow; "The Dirt Sheet" with John Morrison. Miz being the loud mouth foil helped mask a lot of JoMo's flaws, whilst JoMo carried a lot of the in-ring action for the duo. Miz being so brash and youthful also allowed for JoMo's forced cadence and one liners to come across less stoic and more "charming" in the sleazy Hollywood smuck style they seemingly wanted to be showcased as. WWE decided to upload a lot of the show clips to YouTube during the pandemic, which surprised me. Worth a revisit:

I really got behind him when the draft happened; in which Miz instantly attacked him to prove his worth upon being moved to RAW. Than Miz spent weeks on end calling out Cena for a match, only to be rejected with his awful "Chick Magnet" shirt. Great method of exposure and highlighting the talent moving up the system. JoMo also benefited nicely from the split for a while too, I dug his face run on Smackdown until they paired him with R-Truth. That feud with Drew was ass...

I know most people latched onto him sometime after this when he had the rebrand to be more "serious" post Cena defeat and claimed the US title, with one of his career defining promos about being thrown out the locker room. Will always bat for a guy that lived the dream so many wished to have! May he have another IC reign at some point to take Jericho's record.

I can, off the top of my head, only think of 2 Miz Injuries - his Mania match against Cena where he was concussed after his head bounced off the concrete going over the barricade, and that retarded Zombie Movie tie-in match where he tore his ACL.

Like him or hate him, Miz is one of the bigger success stories of the WWE Style of Wrestling. For the sheer amount of matches he does in a year, his bump card is still mostly blank - guy’ll be able to actually enjoy his retirement, barring catastrophic injury/him not going broke.
While he's had a decent career, It could have been much better without the constant face/heel turns and no one in the upper card being willing to put him over.

Also, I want the devil storyline to be brought up by Cole a lot because it's one of the few times MJF has been made weak plus it helped build Cole's character by having him be smart enough to fuck over MJF before he could fuck over Adam Cole. He mindfucked MJF but good and it should be treated as a good thing.

Looks like Tana and Kenny vs the Young Bucks, possibly with additional partners on each side, at WrestleDynasty.

I'd assume he'd continue being President of NJPW.
