Battle In The Valley was awesome. It's easily becoming one of my favourite PPVs series by now.

The Jake Perry spot was pretty cool and probably the best way to bring him back to wrestling. A run in NJPW should really help him and do him some favours. And he looks way better with a hobo full beard. I hope he used his time off to take some acting classes to improve his promo work bc so far he sucked in promos in AEW.

I have total Moxley fatigue at this point but I'm way more willing to see him in NJPW than in AEW, even when it's a deathmatch mudshow match. His character works way better in NJPW than in AEW and it really helps not to see him every single week bleeding in random matches and it also helps that his no DQ deathmatch crap was the only match of this sort on the whole card. Liked his Wrestle Kingdom match last week more though.

Same for Eddie. He works way better in NJPW than in AEW. Loved his match with Gabe Kidd, how it ended and the post match beatdown. Gabe Kidd was the perfect opponent for him.

Seeing Riddle and Jeff Cobe teaming up and teasing Riddle to join United Empire was great.

Mustafa Ali had a video package where he acted like he is running for president but was challenging Tanahashi as new NJPW president and I'm totally on board. Ali for 2024!

Overall not a single bad match on the card and a good crowd. And I like the San Jose Civic arena. Not overbooking shit and keeping things simple is the way to go. Tony should take notes.

Ali's theme music he's using on the indies is almost catchy and the vignette he has for it is almost good. This could have worked out great in the WWE when he wanted to do it, but it was also too close to elections so the stock holders wouldn't want it. I still prefer seeing Mansoor and Mase. i find there's more upset to MxM than Mustaga Ali. Mansoor alone can do a good promo. Mase still needs some work but he'll get there.

Currently, Ali's gimmick is great to go around different shows in, almost like a presidential ad campaign or Human right speaker going to different cities. There's potential as long as companies let it do it's thing.
