So it seems like their in-house art "style" is as much of a product of the echo box as much as the other parts of tumblr "culture". Hairy legs are fine, but here it's so accepted that drawing body hair and other flaws is a trend that gets exaggerated until you end up with...what we've seen here (and of course, making someone conventionally attractive means you're perpetuating hte patriarchy!!! or someshit). I don't know why anyone would pay for art like that but I know I'd rather give my money on someone who's actually trying to improve rather than attempting to make chicken scratch with the ugly stick.

It's one thing playing with proportions, it's another taking them into your hands and mashing it with the dexterity of a small child.
Then again, I try to tell myself that people can draw what they want, since not everyone who draws aspires to have a career in it but...I'm just glad this thread exists so we can all laugh at a distance.
I kind of agree that sukebanana does understand anatomy, I'm just baffled that anyone would want to...do that...to it. I swear we're going to see those creepy-ass eyes morph into one giant sonic-esque eyeball down the line.
(Also why on earth do tumblr folks choose really small font and hard to see colour schemes?)

Man, I can't believe someone's art could get this much worse. The before pic was pretty ok, if a bit amateurish - the style, while tumblry, is pretty cute and I like the pastel colors. But the second one? It's genuinely repugnant to look at, from the hideous, misshapen faces, through the terrible anatomy to the shitty colour choices. Eugh.
