For clarification for my vote I don't endorse any opinions but I think this is a slippery slope and the same logic can be used to remove other people. But I respect the community decision and I hope that this does not affect opinions of me too much (i.e thinking I endorse x opinion).

I don't think this case should be a council decision. I strongly recommend a public community vote.

I don't mind if the council is removed and you guys want to do public votes on things. The original decision to ban [Banned User #7] wasn't a public vote and was done pretty quickly tbh. It would be really great to absolve specific members of responsibility with some of these matters because they are getting a lot of backlash for it.

Now that [Banned User #7] is back on the rankings feel free to settle the matter in whatever way you want. If that's a public vote cool, but at least it will be a community decision and definitely not a perceived personal vendetta (as in the case of Goose).

Also, a big fuck you to the people who think hanging out in a discord means you care more about this community. I've been here for almost 20 years and I've seen a lot of good community members come and go. I still run the game almost daily and have more reasons than almost all of you to care about the community or GE. You might not agree with my actions or behaviour but to say I don't care is one of the most moronic things I've heard.

As a first step towards (potential) reconciliation I have cleared my twitch ban list.

I apologise for overreacting a lot and will work on being less triggered. In the meantime I will still keep relatively distant to avoid said triggering (nothing personal).

I don't hate or have negative feelings to people I just banned people because I don't like being made fun of and perhaps I need I thicker skin.

This isn't complicated.

Henning being on the PD ranks is an injustice. Whomever made the decision at the time made the incorrect choice and allowed him to remain.

Removing him now though would be an even bigger injustice because Henning has since put time into the game, and he shouldnt have to pay for someone elses mistake and have that time be for nothing.

I feel as though Steven started making false claims in 2001. In 2001 he started making ridiculous claims and they just got more and more ridiculous as time went on.

Now the only claims we could prove are false beyond reasonable doubt are the aztec claims, but there are other really questionable ones before that.

Everything 2000 and before was likely legit.

To be clear, Steven's behaviour is not enough to have his times backrolled. This angle was probably pushed too hard.

Anyways. Again im sorry if I had the wrong impression of your motives. However all of your posts are slanted in one direction, and you were arguing points that arent even relevant or have any bearing (i.e that steven claims to have tapes, or that Eise witnessed a time). And this seems to be a distraction from the important details. So i got frustrated at that. Steve had described his strategy twice and produced a video, you ignored both and singled out an excerpt from a 3rd party that severely lacked in detail and didnt even mention the required information. I think you are too smart for that to be chalked up to ignorance.

Then you mischaracterised our position. Again, you are too smart for this to be an accident in my opinion. The core of our argument is technical information about the game, and the fact that Steven's claims are both not possible and too slow. Steven's behviour is circumstancial and builds on the core argument.

If you disagree you can argue with counter evidence or data. But you provide neither, and instead attempt to pick apart irrelevant details.

Steven has made a claim about the strategy he used. This can, and has been tested rigorously. The tests conclude that the claim made is a false claim. Every other legitimate strategy that has been found has been immediately replicated and confirmed (i.e original glass strat, depot warp, caverns mine throw). Goldeneye isnt quantum physics, if a strat can be replicated it will be easy to do so. The odds become even lower when you factor in that Steven himself cannot replicate it and even if it were possible it is too slow. These details alone give complete justification for labelling Steven a liar. Remember, he claims to have executed the strategy multiple times, but no one else can do so a single time in 16 years or with TAS/save states.

All other evidence regarding his behaviour makes the case even stronger, but isnt even necessary.

Just so others are clear, Shadow's posts are full of fake news, bias, and deception.

The strategy put forward by Steven is not possible according to the theory we know, and is not replicable. On top of this, it isn't even fast enough to produce the times he claimed, even using modern technique. This isn't a matter of 'his behaviour is similar to a cheater', please don't be deceived by such a blatant straw man.

On top of the technical data and evidence we can produce, every single other piece of circumstantial evidence also fits the conclusion that Steven is lying. Those stating that there is not sufficient evidence to confirm either way are obviously not rational and are intentionally ignoring the available evidence.

Anyways back to Aztec:
the moment the door is about to go down (this is about right after u took your shot) hide quickly in the spot near the mainframe. the guard walks to the glassdoor and should open it immediately.
this is where it gets fucked up because there is only guard who is willing to do it instead of the 3 guards in the strat u guys all use thus chances are absurdly low for it to happen.but if u have patience it will happen.

Steven made two descriptions of his strategy himself which noted that the mainframe door was open. The second-hand description from Disco does not mention if the door is open or closed at all, and of course, doesn't come from Steven.

The strategy he described previously was showing himself to that guard (instead of shooting through the closed mainframe) which required the mainframe to be open. This old strat was even slower than the new one he posted in the recent vid (shooting through mainframe).

I'm surprised no one has pointed this out yet but Steven's strat is actually considerably slower than the current 2 guard strat.

The main time loss happens because he has to pause after the glass opens, instead of pausing while waiting for the guards to open it. So he immediately loses 4 seconds because of this.

Compared with the current 2 guard strat he closes the mainframe before going to the glass about 3 seconds faster. When he gets to the glass he has to aim and shoot to alert this guard. He loses time here not only because he has to aim for the shoot but also because the animations using the 2 guard strategy finish quite a bit earlier than you can achieve by getting to the glass and shooting (hopefully that makes sense). This means with the 2 guard strat the guards are running into position earlier (and you spend less time at the glass). Approximate time loss 2 seconds?

The following bit is based on optimal timing, which would be extremely difficult to achieve. With the current strat the guards open the glass when they get into position so there is no timing involved. But with Steven's strat you have to start the next process as soon as the guard gets into position or you're bleeding time. Any hesitation will be absolute time loss. Now, once the guard gets into position he has to move from his current location (in the corner) to where he can shoot near the guard, another 1 second lost + time to aim and shoot. Once he has shot he then has to pause which costs 4 seconds. You'll notice in the demonstration video before pausing steven ducks back behind the wall, this is because if you pause immediately after shooting the guard will hammer you. So there is extra time lost here before pausing.

Please correct me if you have more concrete calculations but it seems like Steven's strategy is at theoretical best at least 5 seconds slower than the 2 guards strategy. That's if you use TAS like timing, aiming, and execution. Further more, the end strategies used at the time were sub optimal so he would have bled some time there.

This makes 1:31 far better than the 1:26 Clemens achieved in 2010. Please correct me if I missed something.

Can we get some verbal nods that it is ok to allow proven Steven Z times on the ranks. They would be the handful of proven times from '98 (the times of the runs themselves, not the best time).

Also can we get clarification that Steven is not 'banned', but just can only post proven times. I think this is the best outcome.

Steven is claiming he needs to play 10 hours 'straight' to get his strat to work. It's a fake excuse as to why he can't replicate it. I was pointing out that in the past he got it to work in 1 hour. There is no mechanical or logical reason why he would need to play '10 hours straight' in order to replicate his proposed strategy. Also his 'skill level' has nothing to do with anything. You don't need any skill to get the glass opening strategy to work. You can use any cheat you want to get into position and get the set up you want. All he needs to do is a proof of concept for the strat he laid out previously.

This is another case where he had lied too many times for any unproven times to remain.

I used to play through a very old (wooden frame) TV which only had a coaxial input. All of the VCRs I've ever encountered had RCA inputs so you could record gameplay at least. If you had a super old TV you'd need a different cable to go to your TV. I'm not sure what problem you had specifically but I don't recall any players having trouble with VCR recording.

The biggest hurdle at the time was getting something onto a PC, which is what most people had issues with. But there were plenty of people willing to offer that service. Steven also had many players in close proximity that would do this as well. So especially in his case it was very easy to record something and give to the them to upload.

To clarify, this is incorrect. In 2002 video proof was not hard to come by. Every top player was taping runs and every household had a VCR. Hell, VCRs were even dirt cheap in 2002 because of DVD's coming out. As someone who was an active player in 2000 and beyond I can assure you that those who wanted to tape runs and produce videos never had issues. At worst, video distribution was delayed, as methods of recording were abundant at the time and many players accepted VCR tapes (in fact they were demanding them) so that they could upload them on behalf of other players.

Steven actively refused to make videos or record runs. Please read his post history, he was regularly pressed to create videos but always refused and pushed back. It was a conscious effort on his part to produce no evidence.

I'm glad we agree that Steven requires evidence of his times to be ranked on this website.

I'm not going to outline everything specific but here are some general reasons why he was removed.

1) He has never proven a single one of his PB's. While there are some ancient vids from '98 showing non best runs with best time, these are only evidence of the runs themselves. Gamesharking best times has been popular since 98 and beyond. When I say he has never proven a single PB I mean exactly that, not a single one. This isn't enough to get someone removed but the problem is that when you don't have any proof and you're a confirmed liar it becomes a problem.
2) Steven lied about his aztec times and strategy. I have no idea what Shadow means when he says "Henrik saying that as he understands it the strat wouldn't work.", is this supposed to downplay this or something? Henrik has confirmed through studying the mechanics of the game that a single guard strat can never work. On top of us having a mechanistic understanding of the way the guards open the glass, we also had many people trying the strat both at the time and over the years. To claim that the strat being not doable is just a hunch or a guess is either ignorant or disingenuous. 
2.1 In older posts Steven claimed to have executed the strat multiple times. He has been documented saying that it took him '1 hour' to get it to work (now it has changed to 10 hours), plus he has his claimed PR's + the multiple successful attempts you need in order to actually get PB's. These claims have been confirmed beyond reasonable doubt to lies as the strat is impossible, and also it is unreasonable that at the time he got it to work multiple times but then in the 16 years following could not get it a single time on vid (not be steven nor anyone else).
3) Steven was indeed pushed many times in the past to provide videos, which he refused to do. There are many posts of other members attempting to get him to record times which he always declined, and in fact in one instance became enraged at the idea of having to provide proof.
4) Aztec isn't the only insane claim he has made. In 2001 he claimed 4:25 control OOA which was a 9 second untied at the time and faster than the SA record (and much faster than his SA PR at the time). This just doesn't happen in reality. Never before, or since has the SA record been faster than 00A record, and for good reason. When he made the claim he said he had a new strat which he said he would unveil but he never did, and it was never mentioned again. He also made other insane claims like b1 17 obj A fail in 2001.
5) his general attitude has been indicative of someone who is a compulsive liar. If you read his old posts he makes certifiably false claims about reality. Such as claiming he has 'tons of proof' for GE even though he had never proven a single PB, and claiming that he had records on tape or online but they had vanished (in reality they never existed). As mentioned before he became irate when pushed for video proof claiming that he was above it and already proven enough to have to provide and videos.
6) he also made that unbelievable mk64 claim, which that community even removed even though their proof standards are ridiculously low and pretty shameful. The scrolling proof he provided doesn't match reality (discussed in goose's video) as it showed a large jump instead of small increments. This flies in the face of every single other piece of data we have on other players and how non shortcut records are improved. Again, if you look at this as a single piece of evidence it may not seem like 100% proof, but it is definitely a smoking gun and when combined with every other factor the only reasonable conclusion is that the time is fabricated, or cheated.
7) His recent posts attacking the community for demanding proof and being sceptical mirrors proven cheaters like todd rogers and billy mitchell. We've seen this behaviour before, and in fact it's pretty embarrassing steven would use what seems to be a note for note response with other cheaters. But he seems to be quite ignorant of speedrunning/high scores these days and what most people are aware of.

there is only one thing that reasonably explains everything that has happened. If you don't think all the evidence points towards Steven being a liar then I really think that's on you, because most reasonable people will disagree. And again I must stress, Steven hasn't proven a single PB, so given that there is so much evidence that he falsified times we just can't let his times stand without evidence.

Now I'll clear up a couple of counter arguments.

1) Why now? Multiple reasons. Firstly, when you look at things from a distance you're able to see the entire picture so you can get a better understanding of the situation. At the time Steven made claims slowly over multiple years and as he provided no videos etc there is no way to confirm he is lying (until of course he explains a strat that is impossible). I think time brings more objectivity as well. You can hardly claim that we are jumping to conclusions given that most of this happened 15 years ago. Also, we now have an established history of liars and cheaters that we can use as examples and as learning tools to help find more cheaters.
2) Steven was a good player! So was every other cheater that was exposed. In fact the irony is that Steven was in a position to make false claims while others weren't. He already had credibility so he knew he could claim anything and people would believe him. But if you still don't understand how having credibility will make people want to make false claims I'm not sure what would convince you. We have soooo many examples in this day and age of world class people lying and cheat that it absolutely baffles my mind that people still make this crazy assumption that being a good player makes you somehow impervious to lying? This is so ignorant it's crazy. Every sport has tons of the best players exposed for doping, cheating, you name it. Even our own community had people like Henning who was a world class player and went to great lengths to fake videos. Remember, making a false claim is FAR easier than splicing a vid. If a top play is willing to splice, it is even more reasonable that ancient players also made false claims.

Steven has been compulsively lying since at least 2001. All details will be revealed in time.

Steven Z's situation is even worse than any recent members are aware. But I'll give you a run down of what we can say for sure.

1. He has NO PROOF of ANY of his world records. I'm not exaggerating. He literally never proved a single one of his records. This is astounding given how many untied records he got, and some pretty famous ones. For example he untied dam 54, archives 17, runway ag 23. Before he posted his aztec times he claimed control 00A 4:25 which was a NINE second untied at the time (and considerably faster than his SA PR AND the SA WR, this just doesn't happen folks). I'm of the opinion this claim was Steven testing his limits, a precursor to his later aztec claims.
2. He is a confirmed liar, and claimed world records that were obviously false.
3. His recent behaviour confirms shady, deceitful behaviour (posting gamesharked vid).

So to sum up, this guy has literally no proof of any records, has claimed false records in this game (and likely others), and continues to deny any of this and even is STILL lying and being shady.

I've wanted him gone for a long time but I was waiting for Goose's video on him to shed more light.

Seriously, go through his WR history. When you realise none of it has any evidence whatsoever and he is a known liar you'll see how insane it is that he is still on the ranks.

Give him a warning. There is no rule etc (not that there needs to be) that will indicate you will get banned from the rankings if you act dumb on discord etc. So i think it should be made clear to give him or anyone else an opportunity to make that decision.

In saying that i disagree with the idea in general. People have bullied me consistently for years in this community and now you claim to have standards? Give me a break. If you ban [Banned User #7] please ban half the people frequenting the elite discord while youre at it.

Whether or not a time is tied doesnt tell us anything about the strength of the time. That is more dependant on who has invested time into the level.

Tiers are based on a combination of the skill and luck required to achieve a time.

Using c buttons is better. You tap c button then as long as you have released it you can press it again and youll start moving. Using z you have to wait till the level starts. Using c buttons you dont have to wait, just tap then as long as youre using same c buttons to move you wont get stuck.

This time was a wr when claimed but had no video prood as far as i was aware. It was already established long ago that wr claims require video prood.

With egypt 44 what has happened is that the honeymoon period after i got the time has passed and i can evaluate the strength of the time without bias. Honestly it may even be tier 5. It is legit an easy time to get. It is less tight than 45 was with the old strats as the warp saves 1 second over the crounch strat but you can still easily use 2.x saving 1.3 total. The only difficulty is that the warp is tricky but that gets offset somewhat by the fact that you no longer need the best barron deaths cause you have an extra .3.

I think Fac 43 should be considered for dropping down to tier 4. It was possibly tier 3 without any of the new strats (most notably the right strafe strat heading into labs saving .2) but it really isn't that strong anymore. All of the other tier 3 times are far harder than 43 and some of the tier 4 times are well.

I also think frig 105 should be tier 3 given the low odds.

I also think egypt 44 should be demoted to tier 4 because it is also much easier than other tier 3 times.

Also with the mainframe strat I use depot 39 is tier 5. I was getting 39 pace mainframe completes every 15-30 mins, took a couple of hours total to get with the new strat and had several 39 pace missed TS before I got it.

All of the council members have a pretty long established history of being involved with community discussions etc. im not really familiar with MW at all which indicates the history is not there. Being an enforcer is different to being a legislator.

For the record I had like 5 or 6 36's on ooa before I got 35. It is really bad to play with that strat because most of the time trev doesnt die. While handling may be easier on jungle for PAL, I don't believe it to be slower. For all intents and purposes it may be easier to get a decent run on PAL, but if you compare similar runs I believe that ntsc will be quicker.

I just want it to be on the record that I believe ntsc jungle to be quicker, even if more difficult.

Spliced/faked videos are found after they have passed the initial proof call quite often. Henning's runs were caught years after they passed proof call. Video's need to remain available for scrutiny at all times so that future develops in tech/knowledge can reevaluate old vids.

It doesn't imply that rankings can change day-to-day as that is an administrative thing. We don't have to remove a time because the video has vanished, but the time is no longer verified.

I have been made aware that Ace's videos are backed up so a proof call is not required.

For further clarification, if we did not already have the vids I would agree with this proposition.

I  just learned that all the vids are backed up already. So I'd be fine with a complete freeze on his page, and any further PR's need to go through a proof call first before being posted so that we can back them up and upload them to a 3rd party account before the times are updated on the ranks.

I'm not in favour of removing his times given that we already have the vids and I think a permanent freeze of his page is sufficient punishment enough. Once the reuploaded vids are linked on his page and his page is frozen we can set and forget about this moving forward.

It was addressed previously in the council but not added to the proof policy. Previously the council was in agreement that if a player removes their videos they will be subject to another proof call.

People are still under the impression that as long as you pass the initial proof call your time is proven forever, which I very strongly disagree with. If you are able to pass a proof call and then remove your videos this will allow a giant window for people to upload spliced videos that may not be caught upon first viewing, and then swiftly removing their video afterwards so the run cannot be further scrutinised.

This should be a blanket rule including WR's and UWR's.

How does it make the elite look bad? Why would someone place the blame on the elite if a person makes their video private or deletes them?

I can't really give a time frame because a lot of the times require luck and I'm not sure how long they will take. Also I have to learn a lot of levels from scratch so I don't have any idea of the time frames. I can only say that I'll be degening a lot because I want to build my stream up and pwn GE hard. OK so let's get this straight. A canadian, mobile internet user, who was active in discord at the moment I posted the video, felt like downvoting my video. Now it just so happens that flicker is a canadian, mobile internet user, who was provably active in chat when I posted the video, and who I banned from my twitch channel and had an argument with on discord 2 hours before I posted the vid.

This is where it gets funny. Flicker originally said the votes came from reddit, which was immediately debunked. Now flicker is saying that a different canadian, mobile internet user, who was active in discord (find one pls the chat log is there) inexplicably felt the urge to downvote the video 6 times several minutes after I posted it. It gets even funnier though when now flicker is claiming that MORE THAN ONE canadian who was active in discord felt the need to downvote the video several times (he is claiming that the 'unkown' downvotes are from a different person from the 'mobile' ones) within 5 minutes of the video being uploaded.

It is worth nothing that when Qwec took the screenshots it was 3 views and 3 downvotes. One view was me, one was from Qwec, the other view was from the person that made the downvotes. Youtube won't count extra views if you refresh the page etc as it counts unique ip views. So when flicker downvoted the video 6 times it didn't count as 6 views. When CardinalKnut checked the video it was 5 views and 6 downvotes (as per chat log in discord).

It's bad enough to do the downvotes but to lie about it so much is really strange as Goose said. It's even more strange though that people were claiming I'm starting drama by making it known that a PROOF MODERATOR AND COUNCIL MEMBER mass downvoted a proof video when it was uploaded and shared to the elite.

It's also disgusting the way Flicker attempts to turn this back on me.

I know the matter has been decided but I thought I would do an updated post to outline more precisely the rationale behind removing the points from Duel. I'll try to be as concise as possible.

The Duel is not a level in the same sense as the other 20 ranked levels. The Duel is a holoroom exercise.

More broadly, the Duel is a carrington institute exercise in the same vein as the firing range, gadget training etc. It is not a part of the main storyline missions. It is not unlockable through the main storyline missions. All other carrington institute exercises are not ranked alongside the main storyline missions. This point alone is already strong enough to warrant removal of the level from the main rankings. This doesn't mean that is HAS to be removed as we can rank whatever we want to rank. However given that it is a holoroom exercise and not a storyline mission we would need good reason to rank it (i.e the mission is interesting, complex etc).

The Duel does not allow for deviation of skill.

Given the simplicity of the exercise it does not allow for players to be sorted by their skill level. This is the main point of any ranking system in the first place. 3, 6 AND 9 are not tests of skill. Any player can get them. Therefore it makes the achievement valueless. If War 25 had 2000 ties, should it be removed? No. Every other ranked level is part of the main storyline mission set, therefore it does not matter if they have many ties. Even if dam agent has 300 ties it would never be removed. The reason this point is relevant in this particular discussion is because Duel is a carrington institute exercise, and therefore would need a good reason to be ranked.

The Duel would need a strong argument to be ranked in the first place, not the other way around (it should not be required to have to substantiate an argument to have it ranked, given that it is a holoroom exericse and not a normal mission).

Who cares if the Duel is ranked?

Gimmicky competition is always trivialized and not taken seriously. I.e tic-tac-toe, scissor paper rock competitions. In my opinion, ranking a gimmicky, useless exercise decreases the credibility of the rankings and lowers the overall impact of the game. The least amount of gimmicks that are included in any ranking system the more it will be respected and the better it will fair. My opinion stems from my desire to have the best ranking system possible.

I believe that having both PD and GE at 6000 points will also create a stronger bond between the two games and will have a subtle benefit of causing more cross over from one game to the other (if the games are ranked differently a player will be less likely to play the opposite game). I believe that a gimmicky exercise like the Duel will actually prevent players from playing PD and creating a full times page. The reason is that it is a time sink that does not reward skillful play, in the same sense that every other perfect dark level does.

Dam Agent and to a lesser extent, Runway Agent are pretty much in the same boat. You dont need any SKILL to achieve these times, only KNOWLEDGE. The lowest skill players can get lucky and achieve these records. The Duel does not only require timing, it also requires some knowledge.

Every time I read over the arguments for removing the level or stripping its point values, I dont feel swayed at all. I keep wondering what actually gets accomplished. I feel like its pure propaganda, especially with at least two misinforming arguments.

After seeing the results of this poll, combined with the results of the previous efforts to remove The Duel, I feel like the majority are too easily swayed by the propaganda. I dont think 6 out of 9 is a large enough majority for this kind of "major" rankings adjustment.

Alright, you have my opinions. Now whatever happens, happens. I'm not going to bitch and moan if The Duel is removed or stripped of its point values.

Going through each point individually is irrelevant. There is no single one reason why the points should be removed. If it were a normal level and it was 3 seconds long it wouldn't be even considered to be removed as that point alone is insufficient. So making a comparison such as runway agent is a false equivalence as runway agent is part of the regular story missions, is unlocked through standard play etc. Decisions are based on compounding factors, not single factors.

If the level was longer and not simply a holoroom exercise it would not be considered for removal. This is correct. But it's not, so therefore it is considered for removal. None of the factors in of themselves (with the possible exception that duel is unlocked through the firing range) warrant removal.

Also claiming that if people don't agree with you it is only because they are easily swayed by propaganda is below the standards that should be upheld for council discussion. Leave the character attacks to discord.

- Does not allow for improvement: We know for absolute sure the records are maxed. Why? Because 2 seconds out of each difficulty is spent waiting for the level to end once the opponent has been killed. 1 second of controlling Joanna and 2 seconds of waiting. Defection 5 shows that even when 6 seemed maxed to everyone, it could still be improved. Even archives 15 is at least POSSIBLE in theory. And the maxed times of these levels could only be achieved with EXTREME skill. i.e defection 5 is only 5 seconds long but needs incredible skill and precision. Duel are maxed, and not only maxed, maxed by most, and not only maxed by most, maxed by most easily.

- Times this easy should not have the same point value as other levels: Duel requires no skill to get the WR and yet it still gets 100 points. When every other level requires a lot of skill to achieve to get 100 points. Everyone can agree that duel does not require skill. It just requires timing.

This website exists to celebrate SKILL. To celebrate COMPETITION. To celebrate PATIENCE. To celebrate HARD WORK. To celebrate ACHIVEMENT. Duel doesn't satisfy any of these.

- Having GE and PD with the same amount of total points weights each game correctly on the RARE rankings and develops a stronger connection between the 2 games. Which will be aesthetically better, and will make it better to compare total points with either game etc. May also lead to more cross game playing (this is subtle).

I vote for keeping it on the ranks in its current form but removing the points you earn from it. So historically all the wr's will be visible, you'll still have the achievement of getting it shown, but the weighting of the time against the other levels will be stripped. It will be similar to the single segment runs as it will be listed on the front page (as it is now), your achievement will be ranked against others, but will not be assigned points on the main rankings.

Not sure if I mentioned this in my previous post (cbf reading it all) but ON TOP of everything I previously stated, having PD and GE at the same points is so much better. For the RARE ranks, for aesthetics etc. Having PD at 6300 points and GE at 6000 is gross considering duel is not a real level.

I was never against name changes. I just didn't want it to be acceptable for people to create troll names to bully other people. Though it's irrelevant now as I won't use the discord so my opinion should not be considered.

I thought i would educate you on the dam boosts, cause i still hear people refering to boosts as saving 0.3. This is not the case for dam.

The first boost saves 0.2 cause its not a perfect angle. The last boost saves .2 - .25 because it also is not a perfect angle. So the 2 boosts save .4-.45. 2.x saves .3. So if you want a 2 boost 52 you would need the equivalent of a 53.7 with 1.2 no boost (this is insane).

Oh btw, runs will differ by up to several tenths for absolutely no identifiable reason. There is some randomness to how laggy the run is, or at least how slow the timer runs (tested with gs timer).

I will probs need a 3 boost low lag run. Or a 2 boost frame perfect low lag run.

I wasn't aware of how early you could get the boost. I knew that you could get boosted at the corner from the beginning but I thought it didn't save time (because I thought you got boosted after you loaded the gate guard) so I stuck to keeping maximum look down until the corner. However from slowing down vids I can see that you get boosted before the load point which is definitely quicker.

Yeah that LATE shooting is amazing. I think the problem of lag came when you shot EARLY which also alerted the double klobb guard (and probs others) and made it very lagged during the Nat door part. But that vid looked really smooth and fast. This is really good and should be used.

While we are all being honest.. im the best streets agent player. I made the bounce boost, my run is the fastest boost for boost run (1:11.77 13:0). My run had rocket first set but is still the fastest when boost ratio is accounted for. Also the run is crisp as fuck. I have many 12:0 1:11's in practice. I was and still am the best streets agent player.

The strat is at least 13 years old cause I played around with it when I get the SA/PA records back in the day. It's quicker if you're slow, but if you're really quick (which you can't be anyway if you're killing skedars) the skedars won't be in correct positions to be able to quickly duck out and back to get the skedar to spawn correctly.

So for WR strat it's not quicker but if you find it's easier as a mid pace you can go for it.

The problem with using averages or giving extra  incentive is that magnifies a problem I already see with a lot of new players. This problem is the N/A crew issue. With these rankings systems you'll get really lopsided crap where a player will put 100% of their time into 1 level instead of spreading it out over the entire game. Take Clemens in PD. He has put all of his PD effort into a few levels instead of spreading it out over the entire game. This should not be REWARDED on the overall ranks by stripping other people of points who have done the hard work of playing every level (even the ones that aren't fun).

Guys look, IL's are different from RTA. The IL rankings are about OVERALL rankings. How good you do on EVERY stage, not just 1. It seems like people really, really, really want 1 time to be so important. The level point system is only a mechanism to get an overall rank, it is not the end goal. It seems like some people really want to make each level scoring system it's own end goal, which as I already mentioned runs counter to the spirit of the overall rank.

Its not always about legitimacy. Sometimes, times are backrolled as punishment for bad behaviour. So, for someone who cheats their entire page is removed.. Even if some of their times are provably legit. Similarly, if a player remove their video they have their time backrolled.

When viewed through the (correct) lens of players being repremanded for ill behaviour, rather than simply not meeting proof stadards, it is completely consistent that marcs time would be removed and daves would not.

IF someone were to fake a run, making them provide a session would FORCE them to create a splice. This splice is very hard to do perfectly and can be detected with audio analysis. However splicing an end screen to a single run can be done in a way that cannot be detected. It's more about increasing the odds that a person will slip up or leave a clue confirming they have created a fake run (if that's the case). Things don't have to be guaranteed in order for an action to be taken.

Personally, I brought up the idea of asking Luke to provide the session but I wasn't suggesting we should definitely backroll the time if he wasn't able to provide it. However, a full session would definitely remove most of the doubt and allow people to relax a lot more and feel more assured. If the session showed bad play, much lower OCB etc then further investigation should follow.

We should always try to create a full picture when making decisions. Sometimes, one point isn't enough to confirm anything, but when you have a whole bunch of points questions should start getting asked. It works both ways. For example in this case, while the video quality is bad, the session vid makes up for it. So personally I'm happy with it. However some people may choose to ignore the session and look strictly at video quality, which I would not suggest. Take everything into account when making judgement calls.

Most of the easier wr's will be possible with LCD. Trust me though, CRTs are way easier to play.

LCD TV's need to change the signal from analog to digital. This causes a delay between what the n64 sends out and what the tv shows. It's pretty small, but on more complex stages and on stages where you need to react to things you'll bleed time.

This is a peculiar case where a person has very good times on 1 level and nothing else significant on other levels. There is a precedent for this with Lucid in PD. The SAME response happened btw which is a request for a full session. As Petit doesn't have similar high skill vids on other levels and he doesn't stream it's impossible to get a good grasp of his overall skill. Sessions are only required in cases like these, because we don't actually have enough information to determine a players skill.

I find it very distasteful when people act as if skepticism is a terrible thing when I believe overall the net result is a positive thing. Remember back in the day when proof policies were non existent? It's skepticism that drove better policies and improved the overall proof situation. OK to clarify I didn't say that law dictates what life is. I said that law dictates what is murder and what isn't. As murder is defined as 'an unlawful killing'. Given that killing something may or may not be acceptable depending on the context you can't argue from a place of principle that killing is wrong. You'd have to explain why it's wrong in any given context.

I didn't say that a child becomes life as 22 weeks or anything like that. My point regarding life was actually that there is no on/off switch and it's not black and white. It is a continuum because you're not going from something that is dead to something that is alive. Everything involved is already alive and just grows from that.

The standard I used in my last post was 'biological independence'. Meaning that it can survive as a biologically separate individual. The 22 weeks comes from the fact that babies simply cannot survive if removed from the womb before this point. This even considers the use of incubators which is required if they are born that early. Before this point the baby has not developed and if removed will die no matter what we do.  It has not grown to the point where it can satisfy the most basic thing which is being able to live. Before this point it is completely dependant on being biologically attached the mother so I would not consider it as its own person with its own rights.

People being on life support etc is a completely different case. First of all, they satisfy my definition of biological independence. They are alive as their own biological individual. Secondly, getting injured/sick etc does not forfeit your rights as an individual. The term 'viability' is used in a specific context and you cannot simply throw that term around and use it in other contexts in order to broaden its meaning.

Viability is important in human development to understand if a baby can be its own individual with its own rights. Because if it cannot be an individual it is still sitting under the umbrella of the rights of the mother. Until the baby can exist as its own individual it is only an extension of the mothers body. So viability states that if removed from the mother would the baby survive as a separate being. If the answer is yes then the baby deserves its rights as an individual, including the right to live.

You mentioned 'potential life' to which there is no logical argument against as the definition is vague and it's based on possibility rather than reality. There is always the potential for anything. Even contraception, abstinence etc prevents life and could be seen as preventing life from existing. There is always a cost/benefit to everything and a case can be made either way. For example, if a women who is poor/single gets an abortion it may allow her to financially recover and thus have more children later. Whereas having the baby now may financially cripple her forever meaning she can't support as many children in the future.

Like I said before I don't think this is a simple issue in that it's either wrong or right. If you feel as though abortion before the point of viability should be 'illegal' you'd need to make an argument why, and it has to be more than just 'it's morally wrong' etc. If you're claim is that it's an unjust killing you would need to establish exactly why. Humans kill living beings all the time (animals AND humans) so killing in of itself is not morally wrong.

But I just want to say in closing that I'm not saying you're wrong for being against abortions etc, and I'm not making the claim that people are morally correct for doing abortions. I'm more talking about what should or shouldn't be legal. People will always disagree on what the best course of action is, but when it comes to creating laws and punishing people for breaking them we need to be more concise and logical in our reasoning. Unless you believe that religion should also govern laws which is a big move from the system we use atm.

About Roe vs Wade, basically most abortions would be legal before the 3rd trimester because getting an abortion is statistically safer than giving birth. Therefore, given that the fetus has no rights as an individual under the 14th amendment but the mother DOES have rights, she is within her rights to make the decision to abort as it is safer for her. Once the fetus is in the 3rd trimester and becomes viable then the state basically says that it has rights as an individual under the 14th amendment and therefore may not be killed. Basically at that point the rights of the fetus overrides the mother's fear of well-being.

When it comes to what determines life, this is a biological question, not a question of morals/religion. Also there is no on/off switch for life because technically sperm is alive and so are eggs. To suggest things are so simple I think is naive. I think we have to acknowledge that there is no exact reference point you can use for certain as things flow on a continuum. Therefore all that is left is to negotiate and discuss different ideas about what the cut off point should be.

In my own opinion, I would use biological independence as a starting point. Basically, can the fetus survive independent of the mother if separated from the womb. If it cannot survive independently than I would not yet consider it an individual. I'm talking strictly biologically, as all babies need adults to survive, but only because they need food. Babies can survive if biologically separated from 22/23 weeks however the odds are low. But given that it's possible and you'd never know on an individual level you would need to abort at least before this time, and then with a further buffer to be sure. This is actually currently the legal standard when it comes to the cut off point...

The Supreme Court ruled that states cannot put the interests of a fetus ahead of the interests of the pregnant woman until the fetus is "viable." TL:DR - Is abortion murder? Not if it's legal. When does a fetus become an individual with rights? When it can survive as a separate biological being. Until that point I don't see how it could be considered an individual that has its own rights etc.

Not that I really care to have a strong opinion because it doesn't really matter. But I'm pro abortion because I think if parents have made the decision to not have children it doesn't make a difference if they use contraception or get an (early) abortion, the net result is the same. Obviously abortions are not ideal and decent people seek to avoid it, because on some level it is also killing another human. I think both sides have valid points and neither side could claim the other is wrong. Probably religion plays a big part. So while I think abortion is ok it is not something that I think comes with no cost. I do not think that parents who do not want to have children should have children, period.

The main issue with the transgender thing is when it comes to creating policy about how others should treat transgenders. I.e requiring them to call them a particular pronoun, allowing them into different sex segregated areas etc. Also this may become a slippery slope when biological men are allowed into women's sports etc. The problem isn't really with people changing sex etc, the problem is that they then tell others how they should be treated and don't seem very tolerant to other views. Which is what Cara shows, if someone disagrees it is because they are ignorant/afraid/evil etc so they are 'bad' people, 'shameful' etc.

Also I don't care at all about transgender etc I'm just discussing the points so if anyone comes at me like I'm anti transgender or some shit they are a fucking moron.

SLEEP

I'd say my average sleep time was 6 hours. However my actual time would rarely be this, it would either be much less (2-6 hrs) or more (8 hrs or so) depending on heat and if I had to work the next day. Any day where I'm scheduled to wake up will be shit for me, but if I can sleep in it's ok.

The problem with getting too little sleep is that even if you get an ok day (8-10hrs) you still won't feel good. I think it takes consistent sleep with no sleep deprivation for a little while to fully recover. So even on days where I got enough sleep for 1 day I would still feel really crap. Being productive day in, day out was impossible.

Now I'm average at least 8 hrs I would say. On my days off sometimes I'm getting more than 10hrs. Still don't feel like I have completely recovered yet though, but my willpower has dramatically improved. Also, with a higher average I'm able to do more on days I don't get enough sleep. For example last night I probably only got 6 hrs, which is definitely not enough, but my willpower is MUCH higher than it would normally be so I'm still able to work on stuff despite feeling like crap.

I think the main benefit from getting more sleep is willpower and discipline. I believe that it would be physically possible to be productive with sleep deprivation however it's more of a mental issue. Willpower/discipline is extremely diminished on low amounts of sleep.

I would be against removing his PD times. Not because he didnt deserve to be banned, but rather because of what happened after the decision was made.

If you check his pr history you will see he has many prs since the decision was finalised and he had likely spent hundreds or hours playing getting those prs because he was still ranked.

Henning was not responsible for the decision to keep his pd page, therefore he should not be retroactively punished for this by wasting the many hours he played with the understanding his times will be ranked.

I hadn't made vids because of sleep deprivation and trying to use all my energy on practicing stuff (instead of making vids). Then HOPEFULLY will do a lower body workout once a week which will also include shrugs. I'll be hoping to do lounges and squats but my mobility is super poo atm so I'm doing butterfly/frog stretches and shit like that to help. Also doing some foam rolling for thorasic extension.

On a calorie restricted diet atm cause I want to shred all my fat and be really lean. Want to lose approx 8-10kg.
