West coast trains mostly in MCRD while also going to Pendleton for field training that last about a month. Camp Pendleton is also where marined fresh out of boot camp go for SOI.

Just be careful what you wish for. It seems to me a trend amongst those who enlised at a young age tend to be resentful of enlisting in the first place. I had nothing better going on in my life when I enlisted so I don't feel much animosity with the corp. I knew what I was signing up for but a lot of people go in with a lot of expectations.
