I get that but other people in the group were being the same way and they were the ones causing drama over something not me. So I don't get why I got kicked. Even sky said his mods were being too sensitive and was getting annoyed at everyone. I tried to give him some advice on his mods from my own experience as an admin but he didn't really wanna take it, which is up to him, but it seemed like I was just a scapegoat. I repeatedly said I didn't care and other people kept pushing drama. I think I was justified being frustrated about it. I'd really rather not keep talking about it though it's long past but it doesn't mean I think it's fair

Also tamino I dunno if you're in the group or saw what I said but, the group is supposedly not a safe space but people got butthurt over a word I said so I got in trouble for it. =w= I'm done
People usually seem to want to go to stuff so if you can get something planned out when people might not be hungover from something else you can probably get a good group!

Which is why I didn't bring it up lol. I only responded to sky mentioning it. Like I said I'd rather not talk about it anymore. Not a big deal and it'll just bring more drama. Why I only asked for a link and not talk about it here.
I think some people are way too sensitive to me sometimes, I don't have to get along with them and they don't have to get along with me so if they don't like something from me they shouldn't take it so seriously, because that's how I am with people sometimes like I don't take much personally and I forget other people can be so sensitive sometimes.

I think it's dumb when some people say you should be more headstrong and others say you should be less. I don't care if people's feelings get hurt over superficial things because it's just that, superficial. They'll probably forget about it soon or grow from it. Not a big deal. It's why I get so annoyed with PC culture because I have to censor myself in front of some people who could honestly learn a thing or two by learning to be less sensitive or take things less seriously

At the end of the day, if people want to get their panties in a bunch over every little thing, things that literally don't matter, that's /their/ problem. Folks only have as much influence over you as you let them.
I personally see it as a mixed blessing. At least it stops me from wasting time developing a repitioire with someone if they're going to go off the handle on every little thing.
If you're going to sit there and be a drama queen about /everything/ I'd rather know early on than after I've spent weeks or months building a friendship with you - because YOU would be the one to break off that friendship for some inane, bullshit reason.

But at the same time if it didn't exist then people might get along a little better. They'd still have something to fight about but maybe not something so personally sensitive to them
Should either work on the screenplay for the machinima. Maybe work on the rigging for the cats. Maybe simply write the novel that I originally wanted to be a webcomic but never had time to learn to draw for...
Probably. I cant fathom using a mobile app omf, it must be painstaking

Do you not have a graphics tablet?
BT

I have a standard Wacom intuos tablet which I got for like, 80$, and I used it solely for the sake of old art projects in HS. Other than that, I haven't used it in a while coz my license for Photoshop expired over a year ago
18:08
I could do with a more technical one though, like one with a built-in screen 🤔
Those are like $800+ ;w; I kinda want one but I'm gonna wait a while. The intuos is what I have, really nice. If you wanna try to use it again a good free program i know is firealpaca
Hmm @DazeDatYellowThingie I found another graphics tablet company that has screens on their tablets called Huion and the cheapest I saw was 60 on amazon (amazon is always sketchy) but other sites for less than 100
there might be low or no pen pressure on the really cheap one though, suspiciously cheap but it's not as big of a company as wacom I'm guessing
D?

Someone recommended that you could get parts for a tablet for around that price, and customize it in whichever way you want. Don't remember what it is or where it's from, but it was mentioned to me a couple years back

I know huion is the next best thing, downside is the color range, and lag
22:00
Pressure is okay. Nothing super special
S
22:00
Shopoke Bropoke (Kypoke)
color range on the tablet itself?
22:01
I might be able to deal with that, my laptop color range is kind of low compared to other computers I see
22:01
I think huion is the only other tablet company I would recognize the name of besides wacom
22:02
So you're probably right they're the next best thing. Lag would be annoying as hell though
22:02
I'm guessing you've used their product or...?

worst that could happen is the company finds out and tells you to stop, they're not gonna gain anything trying to sue over one person using their name or logo/character on something

Shes 20 bucks and it comes with Nibs, and the pen too. She was worth the buy.

Always download the driver first if you use her... and also up the sensitivity. Or else it’ll keep drawing when you lift the pen. ( in my experience with it )
I've seen people use trademarked logos/franchises on their characters every now and then. Heck, I had a shark oc back in HS with a Celldweller jacket on. So I think you're good
Plus harudo if they try to say it can't be part of the design, you can say it's technically not gotta be there 100% of the time since it's technically clothing
23:35
what's amino?
T
23:36
Tamino
amino is a combination chat/forum thing, but it only works on mobile phones, it doesn't work on computers or web browsers.
Since thanking the bus driver became a thing. Although beforehand I would usually say something like Take Care or Have a Nice Day Sir. Something along those lines
it's a common courtesy thing, that's why it became a meme, and common courtesy or politeness was huge in the times when cars/buses started being used, seems more pushed then than now at least
23:51
I think just saying something to the driver makes them feel a little brighter whether you thank them or just say something like have a nice day
T
23:52
Tamino
that's probably true, but only if doing so means you don't delay them, and you don't distract them when they need their attention for something bus-related, or... etc.
23:52
life is full of these tradeoffs where you can't know what the "real true best answer" is.
23:53
who knows, maybe there's some introvert bus drivers out there who feel like they have to force themselves to be chirpy back to everyone who thanks them, and then at the end of the day they have to scream at their cat until the icky feeling of being thanked by so many strangers passes.
Oh yeah of course. If the driver seems like they don't wanna deal with people I'll hold off
23:56
idk I think they might get bored of the same bus routes and sitting and driving all day and someone acknowledging them for being people rather than just a driver zombie they don't need to pay much mind to might make them a little happier that day

Besides the fact that there's zero support for it that has any form of meaningful backing, l'd rather my shit just work without having to spend time every couple of hours solving yet another problem because it doesn't know how to handle DX12 or backburner can't deal with selinux or whatever the next problem is.
13:36
Windows may crash occassionally, but everything I need just /works/ when I need it to, generally. That's more than linux can say about any given software package I depend on regularly.

M

It's incapable of running modern CredSSP, SMBv3, or modern Kerberos PAC's for Server 2016
13:39
I can't run my SQL cluster management API's on linux. I can't run any MMC snapins. Like I said, it's not viable for 99% of *my* use cases.
13:39
I'm sure some devops twat that doesn't need to do anything actually useful will be happy with a linux desktop, but for anyone that needs to do actual meaningful business productivity, it's not viable.

openoffice is a steaming pile of shit, there's no viable replacement for outlook, there's no viable replacement for even basic spreadsheets leveraging pivottables with indexible data sets

Yeah when you get into the weeds you need a strong platform not some planks barely held on by tree sap and wood plugs.

Imo Linux is more framework then OS.
13:56
Also Microsoft and Apple have made it so if you want to do 95% of what other people do like play games or rip spreadsheets you need their apps.

Google Drive is worthless because you agree that anything to you save is fair game for them to take.

people have been doing Real Work(tm) with unix since long before windows even existed :-P
i think part of the problem is that if you want to do that, you have to make the decision up front that you won't buy from any vendor that locks you into proprietary stuff... and you won't use any proprietary management tools, which might mean building more, yourself, and buying less off-the-shelf stuff... and it might mean "doing without" rather than adopting a proprietary solution.
i think another problem is people don't understand the unix philosophy anymore. or if they do understand it, they don't live and breathe it, they just pay lip service to it. like, they think it's enough if they just ship something that runs on red hat. they don't understand that to really be "unixy" and to fit with the classic unix ecosystem... means needing to do WAY more than that. like, if you make a device that communicates over a serial port, you can't just provide a linux binary and call it good, you have to document the protocol it speaks, so that people can write their own stuff that interoperates.

It's funny how different things are around college, when everyone starts to look beyond the microcosm of a tiny high school, and realize that you can associate with people just like you and don't have to pretend to be someone else
