Not really. I stopped doing my hobby for a living and started a career. I worked two jobs and went to ultrasound school. I shared a small 2 bedroom apartment with 8 girls to make my rent $300. I hustled hard... and the only reason I have a career in ultrasound when most of my graduating class doesn’t is because I left state. I graduated with 50 people only 5 of us are working in ultrasound today. All of us where willing to leave state and get experience

Yes I lost everything I owned to a fire as well. It is a very numbing situation to see literally everything you own blow up in smoke. I guess that is why I don’t have much attachment to physical things the way others do. I kind of fingered property can get lost easily

I’m sitting on 100000 I’m student loan debt as well. Painful 😖 but I have a job at a nonprofit so I stay here 10 more years I’m good

I don’t get paid like I would at a normal hospital but it doesn’t bother me. I’d rather have my debts forgiven because dept this high is impossible to pay back with all the interest. Every year I accumulate just 5k in interest regardless of what I toss at the bill.

I also take insane amount of call and never tell my hospital no much admittedly sometimes to the concern by others due to the hours I’ve been known to work. I think Majik saw me work something like 100 hours in a week. Not many people are willing or able to work the way I do.

So this dream was more of a nightmare. I was on Angel Island. I drove there with my husband who looked exactly like Tom Hanks. We stopped along the way and he touched something we hadn’t seen before. Turns out it was an alien force that secretly infected him. We got to angel island and I dropped him off because he wanted to hike and I had to check in with coworkers about our camping. So I drove away. I ran into a couple coworkers walking home from getting off shift and offered them a ride in my car. One of them was Sara Arnett from Big Sur who was now working on the island. We drove around and they told me all about the different buildings and concessionaires they had before I dropped them off on the opposite side of the island from where I started hours later. Here is where things get weird. While I had been driving around, my husband’s infection started to take over and he became ravenous- hunting down anything he could and eating it- including some stray hikers. It was because the alien was taking over his body and using it as a vessel to reproduce. Eventually he consumed enough and laid an “egg” which he was very protective of. At this point people had started to catch on that something was wrong so they started to try and track him down, but he hid in the woods successfully. Eventually his egg hatched and he went after the people who were hunting them and brought them to his babies where they then became infected. This time the new generation didn’t have to create eggs, they just had to touch and infect people through their skin. They proceeded to infect the whole island. In the meantime, I became aware of this on the other side of the island as the infected started to chase and corner those around me. I was able to successfully get away by running into the most remote and undocumented areas of the island along with 3 others. One of them was a chemist who had figured out a cure to rid the humans of the infection, but we didn’t have any supplies (which we then hunted around for). Eventually, we came up with a cure. It was a clear white gel that you had to put on the skin of the infected and in a matter of moments they were no longer able to infect people and their minds cane back to normal. We proceeded to cure the infected while they were constantly attacking us. We worked out way back to my husband curing everyone on the island along the way, but months and months had gone by and where my husband and I had set up camp was overgrown with weeds and we had to hack our way through while avoiding the dangers of him and his children coming at us. We finally got to the area he was in and it turns out since he was the original infected that the cure did not work on him. He had become a grotesque monster, going serpentine alien limbs and super human strength. We had to strategize to take him down. I was part of he first group to go at him. I was hoping that there was still something of my husband in his brain. He still had my husband’s memories and he used them to try and manipulate me and to weaken me, but there was none of the care or love left. He attacked me and was trying to kill me. We struggled for control of a gun. But I feigned weakness and was able to wiggle away from him to grab the gun and shoot him in the chest and kill him. So the first infected was now head and the island cured. But I still didn’t know if the disease had gone past the island or if he had laid more eggs hidden away on the island to reinfect people....

More like a group that is tired of the bullshittery that keeps cropping up in the extremes of either side of the social groups and just want's some normalcy, but can't get that because it's a constant Cold War scinario. A situation where people don't want drama and go at all costs to avoid it, but the moment one person tries nailing someone to the wall with accuastions of them being an asshole or doing something heinous, then that person in turn starts dishing out accusations of the other people of being into things like beastiality or weekend baby fucking.

People can't just get along because everyone's different in some form or fasion, or they had some different upbringing that put them into a better economical situation than others. It's the differences of others and of ourselves that everyone seems to be at odds with.

We all have done it at some point. Better to come to terms with it and just accept ourselves and others as we are. It's a better use of our time and energy to focous on better things.

the thing i remember from briefly visiting Rockland, MA, was the bonfire. it was late at night and there was just this big bonfire and you could come stand near it and hang out and get warm if you wanted.
