Most people I have met that say stuff like that do it because they suffered some form of prejudice and are reacting to it by swaying the opposite direction but end up going too far into the extremes. An example would be a trans person saying that there is no physical difference between the sexes because they have suffered so much hate for their appearance, Or a gay person hating all straight people because a lot of straight people harassed them. It still doesn't make the view right or okay but I feel that understanding where these thought patterns come from is important because it will help us stop it from happening more.
