I remember my parents telling me about when it snowed in Austin back in the early 80s. omg it was bad. no one could drive in the snow so they just left their cars in the streets and walked home. the entire city shut down. my family's house (long before I was born) had a full garage because my folks had the only gas heater in the neighborhood and that's where all the neighbors stayed for the night.
I ask cause Colorado has a tendency to have extremes. last week it was warm and 60 degrees, then in the last two days it cooled to below freezing and snowed some more.
