But there are a lot of sub-fields or job types within that particular industry which I’m currently trying to figure out. I would lean more to the artistic side of it in terms of skill and experience, but I’m studying the more technical side of it because career-wise, you get paid a lot more. :P

Bro, moving out's a pretty big deal. Tbh, I think getting a job is within your grasp, and a good first step. A license probably won't hold you back if you're looking at low level stuff. It didn't in my case, and I was looking at similar jobs back in the day. From there you can work your way towards getting a license, and maybe even a car.

I know, umm, what I'm trying to say is that gigs or volunterr work could lead to the start of a good track record which could lead to references and jobs. That is if you don't already have people who can vouch for you from your previous jobs.

Tbh, I don't think you should overlook this type of work if you have no work atm. You might even meet people who can help you out or point you in the right direction. I ended up rubbing shoulders with teachers, engineers, lawyers, firefighters, programmers, and all types of other professionals while doing gigs and volunteering (granted I also met plenty of people with not so glamorous jobs). An emt dude I met even helped me move to an office job down the line. From the sounds of it, your network's lacking so this might be a good way to fix that.
Plus, you'll start saving up while you're looking for a job.

Anyway, getting a job may not even solve your problems, and I may have been emphasising that too much. Moving out can be hard and expensive, but I don't have too much experience with that. Maybe someone else can chime in if they know a better way to do it.
