Well technically EBM, short for Electronic Body Music has a much harsher, more old-school musical atmosphere, taking influence primarily from industrial music from the 80s and 90s (look up Skinny Puppy), whilst still sticking primarily to the "four-on-the-floor" beat structure that most dance genres have.
