It's ultimately guesswork, and the only person who could say for sure would be familiar with your make, model, and year of car. That said, a lot of cars have lights that turn on to remind you to do scheduled maintenance, and those generally can be ignored for a little while.

i used to have a thing i said about this stuff, which was that i want everything i do to be in the service of a sort of gentle/earnest kind of love. like, even if i'm being playful or joking or whatever, i want that to be something i'm doing because i think it'll feel good, and feeling good and helping others feel good is very much in the spirit of what i want to be doing.

i think as life has gotten crazier i've gotten less good at making that be true, though. it's still something i support and believe in, though. like if you look into a dog's eyes... that feeling that's there. it's not serious as in "grave or un-fun" but it is serious as in "hey. nothing is worth it if it doesn't feel good. so, hey, how're you doing? are you ok over there? let me know if you need something."

Seems to me technology has been morally neutral in the sense the things we do with it are our responsibility, but AI... well when machines think for themselves we will lose control of that aspect of that particular technology.

One mind-blowing concept is: build a machine to assemble humans from DNA. The earth was doomed, and there was no technology to get living humans to a habitable planet, but there was a chance to build an automated probe to take the multi-century journey with human DNA on-board, and then manufacture the diversity from earth on this new planet, re-seeding it, and then acting as a library and educator to raise the children.
