throwing up is phobia-level scary for me. the only thing that seems to make it any less awful is just to be in the shower, with warm water, and just let whatever happens happen. not trying to predict what's going to happen when.

when i was a teenager living in berkeley i had to take bart to SF, then walk the 20 minutes from powell st to caltrain, then take caltrain down and get picked up by whichever fur i was visiting, either at the lawrence or sunnyvale caltrain station.

it's kind of a trip to go to one of those stations and try to reverse my perceptions, because now those are where i "leave from to go somewhere". but with a mental effort i can reverse that and see myself as "coming to" them. or "going back home from" them. and remember.
