Sure, I'll be the first to admit that there is shit in the tax plan that I'm not a fan of. But when they increase in size, their demand for workers increases. Current job numbers and GDP growth are really largely independent from some of this stuff, but I would argue that more good than harm is currently being done.

You think that building a wall (on the taxpayer's dime) is a strong application of that? Like, embarking on one of the most expensive and poorly received engineering projects is supposed to be a good thing? Have you considered the cost, both in dollars-and-cents AND the poor global optics?

Yeah I get it the wall is something you don't like, but you really need to read more into what he is proposing on the immigration front. When Schemer lamented that in a moment of weakness he offered the wall and Trump declines, it belays the fact that the Wall is only a factor, and the most polarizing. What isn't being told is his wish to decrease overall immigration that a clear majority in the country actually agrees with. As for optics, I really couldn't give less of a shit about what international opinion is on our own domestic policies. International ones that affect others are fair game, but my attitude is "fuck you, go run your own house"

I've seen every sort of investigation get squashed by GOP-chaired committees. That's a victory of some sort, I guess. But I wouldn't really call it an objective one in the pursuit of truth and justice.

Pretty sure the Senate one is still ongoing and that's also Republican chaired. Granted I'm also fully aware that the farce that Mueller is running isn't in the pursuit of truth and justice either, but hey, what can you do. Only a simpleton believes that Trump has the full support of the party establishment.
