<2022-09-10T19:53:32.000Z> pinemarten: Hey, I've had a lot of success using AgoraDesk.com for crypto-crypto trades, and also buying XMR with cash by mail.
<2022-09-10T19:57:39.000Z> bitcoin: Thanks. I'll definitely check it out. Also, Bisq and Kucoin are nice too
<2022-09-10T19:57:54.000Z> pinemarten: got it
<2022-09-10T19:58:35.000Z> bitcoin: Agora Desk sounds familiar too. I wonder if I had heard about it before. My memory is terrible
<2022-09-10T19:58:47.000Z> pinemarten: It took me a long time to get Sparrow set up, mostly because I had problems with my local BTC node. And Sparrow/Whirpool have high fees if you only mix a bit at at time.
<2022-09-10T19:59:27.000Z> pinemarten: AgoraDesk is the same operation as LocalMonero
<2022-09-10T20:01:22.000Z> pinemarten: I have to admit sending over $1000 cash through the US postal service is nerve wracking the first couple of times.
<2022-09-10T20:05:27.000Z> bitcoin: Oh sure I can imagine. I never make purchases that high though
<2022-09-10T20:05:47.000Z> bitcoin: Good to know regarding Agora. Maybe that's why I may have heard about it before.
<2022-09-10T20:06:59.000Z> pinemarten: I really would like to dollar-cost average, but I never set that up, and it is harder with doing things over mail. At this point I'm pretty distrustful of all the CEXs, they have all had some horror story. Coinbase, Binance, etc.
<2022-09-10T20:51:30.000Z> bitcoin: Oh sure. Centralized exchanges should be avoided at all costs. One saving grace of Coinbase is that they still accept btc from the whirlpool mixer. So its a great way to break the links to your id and still sell them for fiat. Plus, the next person receiving the coins gets a nearly fresh start without knowing it.
