<2022-12-09T05:34:05.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: I take it that you’d consider yourself to be a Catholic?
<2022-12-09T05:34:49.000Z> bebe: yes this is true
<2022-12-09T05:36:10.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: What’s your take on Vatican II and the state of the papacy? Do you think that Francis a pope?
<2022-12-09T05:52:03.000Z> bebe: i think vatican 2 was bad. The pope actually mentioned a few times that nothing was declared infallibly there, so the whole thing could be thrown out tomorrow if the hierarchy of the Church got their act together. I am not sure on pope Francis, but I don't think that is my job as layman to decide if he is the pope or not. God will sort it out soon we know. Thank you friend.
<2022-12-09T05:54:17.000Z> bebe: And the council itself wasn't actually that bad, but it was purposely made ambiguous so that the bad actors could interpret things however they wanted later.
<2022-12-09T05:59:38.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: What do you think of this?:
<2022-12-09T05:59:48.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: The Pope should not flatter himself about his power nor should he rashly glory in his honor and high estate, because the less he is judged by man, the more he is judged by God. Still the less can the Roman Pontiff glory because he can be judged by men, or rather, can be shown to be already judged, if for example he should wither away into heresy; because he who does not believe is already judged. In such a case it should be said of him: ‘If salt should lose its savor, it is good for nothing but to be cast out and trampled under foot by men.
<2022-12-09T06:00:12.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: That’s a quote from Si Papa by Pope Innocent III.
<2022-12-09T06:01:54.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: You are correct that Vatican II was intentionally worded ambiguously to allow for freedom of interpretation.
<2022-12-09T06:02:52.000Z> Lady_Euromutt@nicecrew.digital: Ya know how the Bible says that a good tree can’t bear bad fruits and a bad tree can’t bear good fruits?
