So my question for you is if it was possible to create fully human babies in a lab in order to supplant pregnancy and birth, would you be supportive of that? Or are you anti-natalist in general (I personally am)
<2023-04-27T01:43:43.000Z> AbolishPregnancy@spinster.xyz: Yes, I do support womb alternatives
<2023-04-27T01:45:41.000Z> AbolishPregnancy@spinster.xyz: I’m not really antinatalist; I think that’s a dangerous position given that realistically, species extinction will never be accomplished by humans without mass control and mass murder. I understand the logic behind it but humane antinatalism is simply not achievable.

<2023-04-27T02:07:06.000Z> alexan: Yes, I'm at most idealistically anti-natalist. Of course, it's easy to make an individual decision, I will never have children. But there is no efficient way to sweepingly control reproduction itself, as its one of our fundamental instincts/actions that we undertake. The only thing that would work is if a device was set up that could emit some sort of frequency/force field to suppress the function of reproductive organs (in a video game called Half Life 2, an alien force that conquered the earth does that). While a main motivator in my ideal of anti-natalism is the prevention of suffering (mainly children, since no one consents to being born, but definitely women carrying the child too), doing that would be deeply traumatic for many that are living. So it wouldnt really be worth it.
