<2021-10-19T00:39:24.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: @whiteman_ Pro ton VPN works well. Free full demo for 30 days or so, and they'll run a sale probably on black Friday if you like it enough to pay for it. (Obviously they also have secure* email as well.) I'd used Private Internet Access (PIA) for VPN, and it was fine for a time and then I began having to solve CAPTCHAs on almost every site.
<2021-10-19T00:41:03.000Z> whiteman_: Hey thanks for the tip bro! It can be uneasy with finding which VPN is best to use with some trying to give someone's profile away
<2021-10-30T01:33:53.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: you decide on a VPN?
<2021-10-30T02:03:53.000Z> whiteman_: Nah not yet. But going to do the proton free trial lol
<2021-11-28T16:22:41.000Z> whiteman_: You know a bit of crypto? I was curious to learn how to do it lol
<2021-11-28T16:46:46.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: I don't know a whole lot really. Coinbase appears to be the easiest to set up for beginners. It's based in the US and subject to lots of regulations, so it's unlikely they'll get hacked or shut down. Good mobile app too. Just go slow with it
<2021-11-28T16:49:55.000Z> whiteman_: Oh that's good. I was debating whether to try it but I think I will
<2021-11-28T16:50:53.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: you should. i can't share a referral link for opsec reasons (coinbase puts your name in the referral link!) but ask around with your IRL connections and see if anyone's got a link. you each get $10 in crypto for signing up
<2021-11-28T16:51:52.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: it's all sort of gambling, but generally, i'd just buy and hold it and not sell just because i'm up or down a little after month. think longterm
<2021-11-28T16:57:02.000Z> whiteman_: Oh nice! Yeah of course I wouldn't ruin opsec. Okay so you need to give the personal info or could you make an anon acct
<2021-11-28T16:57:13.000Z> whiteman_: Yeah im not really the buy and sell guy
<2021-11-28T16:58:27.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: yes, that's a downside of Coinbase. since it's US based and regulated, they have to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, meaning if you want to cash out you'll have to provide them with your info. i think it's also another layer of security too
<2021-11-28T17:01:38.000Z> whiteman_: Fair enough. Did you ever buy crypto or take the free quizzes only
<2021-11-28T17:04:04.000Z> Wichawd_Wagnew: i've bought crypto but i also always take the free quizzes. a few of the free ones have already "hit" for me, so like the free $3 worth i got 2 years ago might be worth $50. a couple of them went down in value too. easy come, easy go
<2021-11-28T17:08:00.000Z> whiteman_: Oh nice. That sounds pretty positive results
