<2021-07-12T14:44:19.000Z> VarnaNecropolis: I finished your book over the weekend, it really was fantastic. At first I was worried it was a little to verbose, like you were showing off, but the narrative was so strong that the momentum of the story kept the more florid passages from sticking.

<2021-07-12T14:46:16.000Z> VarnaNecropolis: I like how it was never really clear who Nico was, I'm going to go back and read for some clues you may have put in there.
<2021-07-12T15:20:40.000Z> Marty: I'm glad you liked it. I tried to strike a balance between more "high brow" prose and workman-like in order to keep things moving, as it was always meant to be a novella and have a smaller narrative scope.
<2021-07-12T17:43:20.000Z> VarnaNecropolis: Your characters were memorable and the banter was entertaining. I have to say though I think you may have misused the word "bemused" in the chapter Rob and the governor went for a nature walk. Still, it was a really enjoyable book and I hope you have some more stuff in the works.
<2021-07-12T17:56:39.000Z> Marty: There is a colloquial usage of the term which is somewhere between befuddled and amused, although it isn't the dictionary definition. Might be a milieu thing honestly. A consideration for the future.
<2021-07-12T17:59:00.000Z> Marty: I actually do have an old manuscript I've been dusting off which is a full length novel, probably around 400 pages and much more action than dialogue oriented. Not sure if AH will be interested but it's the novel I've put the most time and thought into. Much more America in mid collapse and less political.
