<2022-06-04T03:00:28.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: The story thing you are doing. Y'know, the Nationalist Warhammer thing. I'm just curious. You're intending to do like a publishing thing with it?
<2022-06-04T03:01:22.000Z> Godcast: That's the plan. For right now, i'm focused on getting the conpendium edited and getting the winners paid out.
<2022-06-04T03:03:48.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Interesting. Unfortunately, I am not prepared for a WK40K style thing, but I am curious if you intend to branch out later in your publishing pursuits? Cuz a friend and I are trying to get a media thing (mostly comics) off the ground called "Wooden Spaceships" and we are always looking for publishers. Obviously, you're real busy right now, so I don't expect you to go out of your way for me, but for future reference, I am asking.
<2022-08-01T02:02:30.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I need some advice, but not for anything faith related. I was hoping you could help?
<2022-08-01T02:03:16.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Since it is not faith related, u wasn't sure if I ought to send you an email or not.
<2022-08-01T09:28:43.000Z> Godcast: What's up?
<2022-08-01T09:36:40.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Well, I need advice on self publishing. Especially since I am poor right now. I want to make a comic book, but due to $$$ issues, finding an artist is just currently not on the table for a while. The only alternative I could think of would be to give him a cut of the sales, but besides that, I really don't know how to self publish. I am also working with a co-writer to write out a WRPG videogame script, but we don't actually know precisel how to format such a thing... I'm sorry, today has been very stressful, so I my brain is a bit scattershot atm. I hope am properly articulating my problem...I just, I need to try something to try and get away from my current job and as things stand now, if I don't figure out how to get my comic published, I will be stuck in this soul crushing job for only God knows how much longer. I know you are also focusing on getting your own thing off the ground, so I was hoping you could give me some advice.
<2022-08-01T09:42:52.000Z> Godcast: As far as recruitment goes, I can't help you. I do know that offering a cut of potential sales really isn't a viable way to get an artist on board unless you already know them personally and they believe in your project. My advice would be to hit up Brian Niemeier's blog, he's got some resources for self-publishing
<2022-08-01T09:47:10.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Yeah. I don't even like thinking of going that route, tbqh, cuz I've seen too many artists get ripped off and I feel awful not paying them upfront, but I gotta explore alternative methods of getting them paid till things improve on that front for me. I'll figure that out in time, tho. Brian Niemeier sounds familiar, tho. I will look him up, see what he has for me. Thanks, man. Eventually, I hope to run some of the actual storyline and such but you, but that would be for much later when you have time and I have more resources, lol.
<2022-08-01T09:48:24.000Z> Godcast: For now, look into how comic books are actually written, and write a few issues of the comic. If you actually have something more than an idea to offer, you'll get more interest
<2022-08-01T09:51:14.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I already know how comics are written and issue one is currently en route breaking the 100 page mark. I ain't too worried for that since it is the first issue, but my editor and I will be taking much more care for everything following that in terms of length and I already the entire story, characters, themes, arcs and ending outlined, as well.
<2022-08-01T09:55:29.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: There are some ppl who are excited for the comic...Would it be wrong to ask them for support in this? I genuinely don't know and just the thought of it bothers me, but it may be a potential option for me, nonetheless.
<2022-08-01T12:06:00.000Z> Godcast: No harm in asking
<2022-08-02T00:35:59.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Oh, I am listening to last night's episode now and you guys were talking about this. Thank God, perfect timing.
<2022-08-02T00:38:14.000Z> Godcast: We try, lol
<2022-08-02T01:07:09.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Lol, well, I am gonna talk to my editor and see if he would be interested in submitting something. He ain't "alt-right" like me, but he knows our politics and he is also very respectful of our religious beliefs, I assume that having a brown, politically normie guy of that nature who helps with the writing and is a world building autist himself ain't a problem, right?
<2022-08-02T01:10:48.000Z> Godcast: That's fine by me. The primary goal of the project is to have something that /ourguys/ can read that isn't 40k and actually affirms our values
<2022-08-02T01:47:20.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I'll talk to him, then, cuz his only concern is telling a good story with good characters. He has an immense respect for Tolkien and such, too. I will talk with him and see what he says, cuz honestly, I think we may have some stuff that you guys might be interested in.
<2022-08-02T01:48:47.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: You can check my pinned poast for some idea of the kind of stories we want to tell but there is much more we have in mind.
<2022-08-02T09:52:57.000Z> Godcast: Sounds good
<2022-08-12T01:20:25.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Why does the curse of death also affect animals who never ate of the tree? My dog is on her deathbed right now and it is driving me crazy watching her go and I just keep wishing that it didn't have to be so.
<2022-08-12T01:21:45.000Z> Godcast: We brought sin into the world and the world suffers for it
<2022-08-12T01:23:01.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Even our pets who did nothing wrong?... I'm sorry, it sounds like I am having a crisis of faith when I ain't. It's just something I can't help but think about as I watch her go.
<2022-08-12T01:23:31.000Z> Godcast: I understand. It's rough seeing pets die
<2022-08-12T01:24:35.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I suppose we wouldn't be able to carry out our role as having dominion over animals if they were deathless while we weren't.
<2022-08-12T01:25:27.000Z> Godcast: True
<2022-08-12T01:28:50.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: At least she ain't in pain. She is as comfortable as she can be and is at home and it seems she will go peacefully...I hope the ppl who say animals don't go to Heaven are wrong. I want to see her again one day. I find it hard to believe that the Lord who loves even the birds of the fields would not bring them to Heaven with us.
<2022-08-12T01:34:45.000Z> Godcast: Everything that's good in the world will be preserved in the New Heavens and New Earth
<2022-08-12T03:08:45.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I wonder what that will be like. There is some change that comes with it. In Heaven, there is neither man nor woman, but I don't think that's something that isn't worth preserving...Idk, now I am just thinking.
<2022-08-21T22:17:44.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: You want me to email you the video?
<2022-08-21T22:24:48.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Wait, has the Godcast parted ways with TDS?
<2022-08-21T22:25:17.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: *TRS
<2022-08-21T22:30:05.000Z> Godcast: Yes, we've been going I. Different directions for a while and decided a split was for the best
<2022-08-21T22:30:30.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Well, that's a shame. I hope there is no bad blood between you two.
<2022-08-21T22:30:59.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Where can I find you guys now?
<2022-08-21T23:11:37.000Z> Godcast: We've still got the email, and our content can be heard on the Libsyn page. I always have the most recent episode pinned to my profile
<2022-08-21T23:53:12.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Got it. I will listen on libsyn, then. I've not used libsyn in a long time.
<2022-08-22T00:15:14.000Z> Godcast: It's just like listening at TRS, click the link, you're at a page with an mp3 player. We'll be on Amerikaner and Exam soon
<2022-08-22T01:23:46.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Great to hear. I need the Godcast every Sunday.
<2022-08-22T01:37:30.000Z> Godcast: As long as we can keep doing it, we'll keep publishing shows
<2022-08-22T03:16:32.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I sent you the email, btw. Look for something from jrwing1408@gmail.com and plz, don't spread that email around.
<2022-08-22T09:52:11.000Z> Godcast: Not to worry, we never share emails
<2022-09-19T01:37:54.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Would you be willing to give me some criticism on the first draft of this script I wrote for my comic? I know you're very busy, but I would like this script to be the best it possibly can be.
<2022-09-19T01:59:21.000Z> Godcast: I can give it a on e over, but I can't promise I'll be of much help. You're better off asking guys who actually write
<2022-09-19T03:22:43.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Just a general opinion on it. I would rather the opinion of ppl I respect rather than just ppl who happen to write, if that makes sense.
<2022-09-19T03:22:59.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I will link you the script. One moment.
<2022-09-19T03:23:43.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: docs.google.com/document/d/166tMm0g6ymPJqs30VBTImBdp3z2nnVQxrzbxw7R7Ht8/edit?usp=drivesdk
<2022-09-19T03:24:06.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Your honest, opinion, please. Keep in mind, this is just the first draft, lol.
<2022-09-19T03:26:52.000Z> Godcast: Sorry, man, I'm not clicking a google doc link. You should be able to upload the file directly if it's a pdf
<2022-09-19T03:27:35.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Wait, is google docs bad? Idk how to do a pdf.
<2022-09-19T03:30:38.000Z> Godcast: If you're using open office writer, you can export as a pdf. yes, google docs tracks who clicks the links
<2022-09-19T03:32:55.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Well, shit, I did not know that. I've been using Google docs for a long time...Ugh, well, too late now. Alright, lemme try and make a pdf. Sorry, I didn't know.
<2022-09-19T03:34:29.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Ok. I am a technological retard. Idk how to make a pdf.
<2022-09-19T03:42:17.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Got it. One moment.
<2022-09-19T03:47:46.000Z> Godcast: Take your time, homie
<2022-09-19T03:51:35.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent attached file https://i.poastcdn.org/caa0a7da6dc647ea380d256036d906251e596f479ed67e0963217d285fde689c.pdf
<2022-09-19T03:51:41.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Is that it?
<2022-09-19T03:52:03.000Z> Godcast: yup, that'l do it. I'll check it out when i can
<2022-09-19T03:52:30.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Thanks. I didn't realize how many pages it was till I saw the pdf page count, lol.
<2022-09-22T00:47:23.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Thoughts?
<2022-09-22T09:42:01.000Z> Godcast: I haven't had the chance to look at it yet, sorry
<2022-09-22T15:00:30.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Alright. Thanks
<2022-10-11T01:11:46.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: What's this my brother is talking about in regards to red heffers (spelled wrong, I'm sure) being brought to Israel?
<2022-10-11T10:00:19.000Z> Godcast: It's a Jewish prophecy about building the third temple
<2022-10-11T18:48:47.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Yes, my brother says it is also Biblical to us. Is that true? I typically do not try too hard to learn eschatology.
<2022-10-11T18:49:20.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Or, rather, he says that it is prophecy that the third temple will be built and usher in the end times.
<2022-10-11T19:15:23.000Z> Godcast: No. "No man knows the day or hour of the Lord's return." Frankly, I don't think the third temple is relevant to Christ's return, and there's no point in trying to force God's hand. Our job is to be His loyal servants until He calls us home. Could it be at the moment of some bizarre prophecy? Sure, but you could also choke to death on a chicken mcnugget on your way home from work.
<2022-10-11T19:39:41.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: That's true. Thanks, I was just curious. My brother makes sure to always say that he doesn't know, either, but he still often follows news that lines up with certain understandings of Biblical prophecies.
<2022-10-11T19:43:51.000Z> Godcast: It can be an interesting bit of news to follow if you treat it like celebrity gossip, but putting too much effort into puzzling out God's as-yet unrevealed mysteries can become a dangerous obsession
<2022-10-11T22:34:37.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: I hope that isn't the case with my brother. I kept trying to tell him that that was a jewish prophecy, but he was fairly adamant that it was also a Christian one. That and the third temple thing, too. He is very devout, which I praise the Lord for, so I ain't worried for his soul, I worry about how it affects his politics and moreso than that, I sometimes worry that if he is right, how does that affect my soul, y'know what I mean?
<2022-10-12T00:30:24.000Z> Godcast: Yeah, that kind of "biblical prophecy" stuff dovetails with dispensationalism and pro-israel politics
<2022-10-12T01:13:03.000Z> The_Vile_Delinquent: Dispensationalism is a new interpretation, too, isn't it?
<2022-10-12T09:54:33.000Z> Godcast: Yup, it started with John Darby in the 1700s I think
