<2022-04-13T21:57:38.000Z> tactavish: Hey, i enjoy your workout posts a great deal, and i was curious if you knew anything about Jiu Jitsu? Specifically, i was practicing the Arm Bar with a good friend of mine and when i was in the non-dominant position having my arm stretched (10:20 in the vid) i didn't feel any pain at all, just some muscle stretching. Evidently, it's supposed to hurt a lot. Should i be worried, or am i just good at resisting that kind of stuff?

<2022-04-13T21:59:22.000Z> tactavish: not trying to le humble brag either, i just don't wanna tweak anything in the future when it gets more serious.
<2022-04-13T22:54:59.000Z> SuperLutheran: I remember rolling with jiujitsu guys back when I was wrestling.
<2022-04-13T22:55:19.000Z> SuperLutheran: I'd say there's one of three possibilities here:
<2022-04-13T22:55:58.000Z> SuperLutheran: Either you've got really, really strong joints through stretching, Indian clubs or steel mace training (maybe good genetics too),
<2022-04-13T22:57:16.000Z> SuperLutheran: Or they're doing the armbar wrong - which usually comes down to angle problems.
<2022-04-13T22:57:55.000Z> SuperLutheran: Finally, if you're new to the art, the guy doing it on you is probably just being nice and trying to not hurt you.
<2022-04-13T23:12:44.000Z> tactavish: He was definitely going for it in the sense of trying to make me tap out just to show me what it's like, and he let me do the same to him a few times (he tapped out during that as well, idk if he was faking but who knows). We reviewed that same video and as far as he knows he (and i hopefully) are doing it similarly, if not the same. Either way i won't get to cocky if i do happen to have that kind of flexibility. Thanks for the input. (Godcast is best TRS show btw).
<2022-04-13T23:23:24.000Z> SuperLutheran: I hear you. To be honest, training stuff like yoga and steel mace will give you bulletproof shoulders and elbow joints. Guys have tried to tap me out before and they usually just give up out of frustration. Also you're too kind fam.
<2022-04-14T01:25:43.000Z> tactavish: I'll definitely keep those methods in mind, thanks man. Take care, i hope you and you're family are doing well.
<2022-04-14T01:26:43.000Z> tactavish: *your lol
<2022-04-14T12:55:35.000Z> SuperLutheran: Happy to help fam :)
