<2022-08-26T00:43:56.000Z> pockethog: Sci-fi***
<2022-08-26T02:18:10.000Z> SuperLutheran: Sure thing man! It's 644 Main St, Oley, PA, 19547 PO BOX 382. If you send a check or money order to The Very Lutheran Project LLC, I can make sure to send it towards Myles. Don't forget to DM him so he can nag me about it lol
<2022-08-26T02:21:21.000Z> pockethog: Will do! Thanks man
<2022-08-26T02:24:44.000Z> SuperLutheran: Thank YOU, dude!
<2022-11-05T21:54:40.000Z> pockethog: Hey Super, been a minute. I was listing to the latest VLP and the thing you said about not watering down the message really struck a chord with me. Bare with me for a sec if you can, I am not a great writer and am not particularly knowledgeable about Christianity or Catholicism, though I am working on it (Not Lutheran, just like how you talk about Jesus, simple as.). I will gloss over large parts here because I am sure you have heard most of this before. Guy stops going to church in early 20s, makes a mess of his life and comes back years later only to discover God is still there and still loves him, for which he is eternally grateful. The first Mass I went to in about 10 years had a, if you can believe it, standing ovation at the end of the homaly. As I am sure you know this basically never happens at a Catholic church. But it did and the reason was the passion and completeness of the message from the pulpit. This was right before row was overturned and the Priest was talking about abortion. I know this might seem silly but I do not ever remember hearing this from the pulpit. It is 100% a sin and the Church will tell you so, but to hear an act of evil out right condemned was refreshing and invigorating(also like you said this is true for the people already in church, maybe not so much the man on the street) and apparently I was not the only person who thought that. It was not all fire and brimstone he spoke about people seeking forgiveness and how we are obliged to forgive if they are sincere but the forgiveness part you can get anywhere these days it seems with all of modernity’s “don’t judge” crap. This brings me back to the VLP episode and the advise you gave the young man about not compromising the message. I can not endorse this highly enough. We as Christians have to stand for something, right and wrong exist but I am not sure if everyone knows this anymore. Idk, your episode got me fired up and thinking about it so I wanted to share. If you find any part of this rambling useful feel free to share. Keep up the great work brother!
<2022-11-06T10:49:33.000Z> SuperLutheran: I'm happy for you! Having a priest that speaks the truth boldly *and* lovingly means you have a priest who's worth his weight in gold. I pray that our Lord keeps him strong against the pressured he must face from the various "special interests" out there who would want him silenced.
<2022-11-06T17:40:22.000Z> pockethog: Amen brother!
<2023-01-30T02:00:13.000Z> pockethog: Hey Super, I sent a letter to the PO box and I wanted to be sure you guys got it. It wasn't urgent (or it wouldn't have been a letter) but it did contain a donation and if you have not gotten it I will get the money order reissued and try again.
<2023-01-30T02:01:22.000Z> pockethog: Not sure how many letters you get but I also requested konasuba and no country for old men for P&S.
<2023-01-30T03:11:22.000Z> SuperLutheran: Yessir, we got it! Both the movie and anime have been added to our watch list, and we will get to them soon!
<2023-01-30T03:12:44.000Z> SuperLutheran: Sorry I wasn't able to send a thank you note - my printer is currently shot. But brother, I thank you for the opportunity especially since Myles and I both love No Country for Old Men, and I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about concerning megumin lol
<2023-01-30T04:48:42.000Z> pockethog: Lol no problem! That is not my return address though it is a Wal-Mart. I'm just kinda paranoid but I get a lot out of your ministry and don't mind supporting when I can. Stay awesome!
