<2021-07-24T02:09:24.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Hello, I've been listening to your Very Lutheran soundcloud episodes. Are/were you a pastor? These are quite convicting. Also, I think in episode 4 or 5, you mentioned some guys being reprimanded for trying to make a Lutheran frat group for fellowship and addressing issues? Was this LCMS? I'm new to LCMS myslef, like 3 months, so I'm trying to catch up with the happenings of the LCMS and orthodox Lutheran Church/community.
<2021-07-24T04:29:35.000Z> SuperLutheran: I was fired from my pastor position for being SuperLutheran lol
<2021-07-24T04:30:40.000Z> SuperLutheran: But that hasn't stopped me. I'm colloquizing for another Lutheran group next month, and if that doesn't work, I'm planting a church that welcomes our guys
<2021-07-24T04:32:29.000Z> SuperLutheran: The fraternity i talked about was the Lutheran Soldiers for Christ, something I established early this year. When I had a bandcamp, I was coming out with Marching Orders podcasts to help out the members. I'll be continuing it soon
<2021-07-24T08:55:40.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Okay. It sounded like you were fired, but I wanted to be sure. That sucks. I mean, for being on the fediverse, you're pretty tame... but I guess that doesn't matter for boomers. "He said we should put the congregation before local atheists and foreign missions; can him!"
<2021-07-24T09:01:47.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: How does church planting work? There's a local baptist group I've seen "plant a church" in my area. As far as I can tell, they're just a continuation of the boomer inability to comprehend replacement theology, that WE are Israel now, aka God's people, through the new covenant, not some Jews in an 80 year old nation state who reject Jesus
<2021-07-24T09:13:19.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: On the topic of fraternities, I looked to see if the LCMS/Lutherans had a Knights of Columbus equivalent. Apparently, once upon a time, the Lutheran Laymen League was a thing, but it's become Lutheran Hour Ministry. which appears to be radio and foreign missions. Well, I just looked in the mens' section and there's Bible studies too, for what that's worth https://www.lhm.org/men/findgroup.asp
<2021-07-24T09:22:36.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: but I've never seen the Lutheran Soldiers for Christ. I tried looking it up on Google. Is it more of a local group? I'm also in a group, https://newcolumbiamovement.org/ it isn't denomination specific, but it's majority trad catholics, which has it's own ups and downs. I've gotten used to responding to or tuning out the retarded comments regarding Luther at this point, lol.
<2021-07-24T13:48:22.000Z> SuperLutheran: I started the LSC as a way for Lutheran men to have fraternity and also fight back against evil in their midst - bad pastors, suffering in the congregation, etc.
<2021-07-24T13:49:26.000Z> SuperLutheran: But the catch is, since it's a right wing fraternity, it can't have an online presence. I don't want feds around snooping on us and I don't want something boomerlibs can point and shriek at.
<2021-07-24T13:50:45.000Z> SuperLutheran: So a lot of it is based on recruitment by our guys, and a 3 phase plan that I'll have to explain a bit later on. The fact that you have to go to a traditional group is groass, and I wanna change that.
<2021-07-24T13:51:22.000Z> SuperLutheran: If you ever see a guy in your church wearing a beret and a plain wooden Cross around his neck, he's one of ours
<2021-07-24T15:29:47.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Yeah, I agree that it's best to minimize online presence or just not be online. Plus, I think being online will be getting harder and harder as time goes on. All the companies and organizations running the Internet's infrastructure are libertarian enough for now, but the next administrations will likely be commie satanists.
<2021-07-24T15:32:32.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Yes, it is awful that you have to seek out a traditional group, as if it's not supposed to be the default. Personally, my church seems alright. I just wish there more young guys (18-25). The only guys near my age are like 30 with wife and kids, which is very based, but they're understandably busy a lot.
<2021-07-24T15:33:06.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Based. I like the "uniform". Esoteric.
<2021-07-24T15:43:18.000Z> SuperLutheran: Yeah. That's where evangelism is important
<2021-07-24T15:51:29.000Z> indianafirst@kiwifarms.cc: Absolutely. I've been trying to go to more events and stuff. Unfortunately a lot of them are boomer ridden, or the guys my age aren't much better, so it's been an uphill struggle.
