In particular, he told me that they believe "Jesus was a prophet rather than the Son of God."I told him those Jews are a minority of the greater Jewish community. When I revealed that a far greater number reject Jesus with some even believing he's in hell boiling in excrement, his face expressed the kind of shock you see once in a lifetime. He followed that up with, "They need to wake up!"Not sure how to follow this up. I genuinely like the guy and don't want to estrange him, but I'm not sure what to say to him if he tries to "debunk" or "refute" me.

Sad to say I made no progress with this gentleman as he seems to accept whatever his pastor presents to him, and from the looks of it, he believes the State of Israel is fulfilling a Biblical prophecy. What I found most curious in a subsequent conversation with him is that he had never heard of Dispensationalism which I found to be quite odd considering he's an Evangelical.
<2022-12-13T02:45:01.000Z> TheEternalBungholio: In any case, I mentioned your podcast and the talk you gave on Dispensationalism and Supersession. When I told him that the tl;dl was that Jews are not God's chosen people, he told me it wasn't so. All isn't lost and we're still on speaking terms. Perhaps something will change his mind.
