<2023-03-24T19:01:36.000Z> Nemesis: Hey Jim how has your experience been with Mayo Clinic? Looks like I might have the Big C, and I'm heading there in a couple months. Hope you and jade are doing well. Thanks for all the laughs over the years!
<2023-03-26T23:19:59.000Z> Jim: They are incredibly thorough and overall really great doctors. If you end up going there they will work hard to get you a treatment plan that best addresses whatever form of cancer you have. They also move fairly quickly if you are down there for a bit. Rather than making you wait for PET scans or bloodwork they like to set it up in batches and get it done as quickly as possible. You could end up seeing the doctor and in a few hours have labs and imaging scheduled same day and then another appointment following that up within hours or days depending. They also like to do research so they may end up asking you to take part in studies. When I first went they asked me to and I agreed; mostly its just tracking your data and how you do over the years but I figured if it ends up helping the next poor fucker why not.I wish you the best and hope it isn't cancer but if it is hopefully it's easily treatable because they catch it early.
<2023-03-27T03:05:31.000Z> Nemesis: Means a lot that you would get back to me, I really appreciate it. I've not always had the best experience with doctors since I started having symptoms a few years ago as a teenager. It's great to hear that the doctors are solid up there. Yeah, biopsies of my esophagus came back bad, hopefully treatment is possible/not super miserable.
<2023-03-27T03:09:50.000Z> Nemesis: Also, thanks again for all the content that you made. Your stuff on here is pretty good too. Not to sound like a para-social weirdo, but you made me laugh when I was super sick in high school. That meant the world to me. With all sincerity, I wish you nothing but the best. Thanks Jim
