<2022-02-11T19:49:30.000Z> KarlDahl: Test test - is this thing on? Just want to be sure you can see the below - thanks fren, any input is valued

<2022-02-11T21:40:45.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: Oof, this one is a very hard one. The closest we have around here is "moromierda". But i would tell you for accuracy, moro brillante would be the most accurate. I mean, it's hard to come with something that sounds smooth and natural in spanish from the term "glownigger". But then again, some new terms came up in the Spanish Civil War, like "Fifth column".
<2022-02-11T21:41:03.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: I really think that Moro brillante would be the best choice for glownigger
<2022-02-11T21:59:12.000Z> KarlDahl: Awesome! Thanks. See, I knew it was a tough one. I know that Moro is an old insult to Spaniards, not just Mooz, which is why it seems better than saying "negro brilliante,."
<2022-02-11T22:00:39.000Z> KarlDahl: I was inclined to say "mayate brilliante" but realized that was a Mexican insult, as the mayate is a dark bug (dung beetle)
<2022-02-11T22:30:48.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: You could have gone too for "bicho brillante" (too soft tbh) or "negro brillante" (literally, glowing black) since nigger in Spain (negrata) is something more of modern times. And i don't think that Sudaca (similar to wetback, beaner...) was widespread by that time. I also thought of something more simple like "un brillante", but Brillante is also a word we use for cut diamonds. Honestly, glownigger is an extremely hard thing to properly translate or assimilate.
<2022-02-11T23:47:21.000Z> KarlDahl: Hmmm, if negrata brilliante would work now as an insult that's pretty good, but if you think moro would be more cheeky I'll stick with that
<2022-02-12T06:59:02.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: Negrata is more in the vein of nigger while moro is the more classic one in Spain to denominate people with darker skin color.
<2022-02-12T07:02:54.000Z> KarlDahl: Both are beautiful - I'm torn
<2022-02-12T07:06:30.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: If you want to be more historically accurate, go for moro. If you want to be more faithful to the spirit of Terry Davis, go with negrata
<2022-02-12T07:09:47.000Z> KarlDahl: Gotta go with Terry. It's a ridiculous premise, but they do hit a Guarda Asalto with their car when he is scoping out a meeting
<2022-02-12T07:09:55.000Z> KarlDahl: Thanks friend
<2022-02-12T07:11:41.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: >they hit a guardia de asalto with their car
<2022-02-12T07:11:47.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: That made me laugh way too hard
<2022-02-12T07:11:52.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: It's amazing
<2022-02-12T07:12:20.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: But you could also run over some agent of the NVDK that Stalin sent to Spain
<2022-02-12T17:05:09.000Z> KarlDahl: Maybe BOTH at the same time? See, now you're talkin'
<2022-02-12T21:10:20.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: Now that is a great way of doing it. Two commies in a single shot
<2022-02-12T21:12:12.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: Plus, Guardia de Asalto wasn't like the FBI or something like that. You could see them more similar to the National Guard.
<2022-02-12T22:51:46.000Z> KarlDahl: I've read histories that they would conduct operations against political groups so that was the context for it - they see one involved in an anti Requete operation after a street fight with CNT guys and hit him with their car
<2022-02-25T10:59:01.000Z> Morghur@kiwifarms.cc: Ok, fun thing to you that might interest you. Franco's spy and intelligence network organization was called SIMP
<2022-02-25T15:43:39.000Z> KarlDahl: HAHAHA I had forgotten about that
<2022-02-25T15:43:58.000Z> KarlDahl: There are some good jokes there. Thanks!
<2022-02-27T23:32:17.000Z> KarlDahl: Do you enjoy Rome? I love this song
