<2021-11-24T03:46:13.000Z> Flay: May I ask a religious question about the Orthodox Church?
<2021-11-24T04:11:03.000Z> JSDorn: Sure friend
<2021-11-24T05:22:16.000Z> Flay: Generally, how do parishioners feel about Catholics that may want to observe a service?
<2021-11-24T05:35:18.000Z> JSDorn: Nobody would object in my experience. You'd probably find a very welcoming crowd. I go to an English speaking parish, which I'd recommend if you have one nearby. Some of the more ethnic parishes don't know what to do with visitors who don't speak the tounge of the old country.
<2021-11-24T05:39:37.000Z> Flay: I would need one, my grandfather insisted his kids only speak English, I have cousins though that go to Russian services.
<2021-11-24T05:41:05.000Z> Flay: Thanks friend, I’ve been coming back to the idea a lot recently and rode by one the other day. I think I’ll reach out.
<2021-11-24T05:41:34.000Z> JSDorn: In the US, there are many English speaking parishes in the Orthodox Church in America and the Antiochian Archdiocese of America. You can search on their websites for English speaking parishes in your area, as well as contact info for the priest if you want to reach out ahead of time.
<2021-11-24T05:41:48.000Z> JSDorn: Awesome. I'll pray for you
<2021-11-24T06:06:01.000Z> Flay: Oh wow, the one I rode by was on that Archdiocese page and is an English service. Thanks again! I’ll pray for you as well.
