<2021-06-03T20:21:21.000Z> Hortler: I apologize for being a fedora. I have strong opinions and so do you, but unless we stand together there won't be a future in which theology exists, let alone any sort of discussion about nuance.
<2021-06-04T01:26:16.000Z> JSDorn: No worries man. I feel the same. I enjoy a good theological argument and don't mind the bantz. But I'll have your back against the Jews every time.
<2021-06-04T01:36:02.000Z> Hortler: Hell yeah borther.
<2021-06-04T01:37:09.000Z> Hortler: I'm pretty into theology. I just don't see a road back to Christianity at this point.
<2021-06-04T01:37:39.000Z> Hortler: The Christian Identity folks would need to make a major archaeological find
<2021-06-04T02:39:07.000Z> JSDorn: You never know, when I converted to Orthodoxy I discovered much more about the faith than I ever knew. There's a lot more *there* than most people realize. I don't hold much stock for the CI folks.
<2021-06-04T02:51:31.000Z> Hortler: Right on man. Greek Orthodoxy is the only branch that holds any weight for me.
<2021-06-04T02:53:48.000Z> Hortler: Started as a Southern Baptist growing up and got into the occult as a edgy reaction. My father ended up converting to Thelema as a result of me reading on the topic. That whole scene is disgusting.
<2021-06-04T02:56:11.000Z> Hortler: He and his new wife are highish ranking members of the OTO and the EGC if that means anything.
<2021-06-04T02:56:48.000Z> Hortler: The synopsis of that whole thing is "Magick is stored in the butthole". It's as and worse than it sounds
<2021-06-04T10:28:45.000Z> JSDorn: Wow man, that's really fucked up. You've seen some shit I bet.
<2021-06-04T17:31:51.000Z> Hortler: Not really. Been to a couple rituals with them. Some topless ladies and other edgy shit. They do get into some fucked up shit at higher degrees.
<2021-06-04T23:22:37.000Z> Hortler: Hey man. Curious on a topic. Obviously spergs tree at Christianity because jews. How do you square Christ's Divinity with his status as INRI? The only explanation I've heard is that his physical body was jewish but his spirit comes from the Creator, transcending all of that. I've always had a hard time with that concept.
<2021-06-04T23:22:48.000Z> Hortler: Ree*
<2021-06-05T00:39:18.000Z> JSDorn: It's a divine mystery. There's no separation within Christ though. He is completely God and Completely man.
<2021-06-05T00:40:17.000Z> JSDorn: Man is spirit and body but these are not meant to be separated, which is why Christianity teaches that our ultimate destiny is not to be spirits in heaven but to be bodily resurrected.
<2021-06-05T00:43:02.000Z> JSDorn: It's not a simple concept, I'll give you that. I think for some of us too, we get tempted into making Jews into the literal manifestation of evil. They are evil but they are not Satan. They are still only men, even if backed by demons and they have no metaphysical claim to anything special. Christ's jewishness therefore isn't really any sort of issue, at least to me. As a biological race, their capacity for holiness is matched by their capacity for depravity.
<2021-06-05T00:44:31.000Z> Hortler: Hm. Interesting. They're the Synagogue of Satan, but aren't Satan. The Church of Christ is also not Christ.
<2021-06-05T00:45:33.000Z> Hortler: Are there still churches that speak on this topic?
<2021-06-05T00:46:43.000Z> JSDorn: You have it exactly right.
<2021-06-05T00:47:08.000Z> JSDorn: Well, most of what I've said is pretty normie tier eastern orthodoxy
<2021-06-05T00:48:04.000Z> Hortler: Is Eastern synonymous with Greek? And that's the same group that splintered from Rome right?
<2021-06-05T00:48:11.000Z> JSDorn: The rabid anti-semitism is not standard fare in any large church I know of, but EO overall is probably more anti-Semitic than Catholicism or protestantism.
<2021-06-05T00:48:59.000Z> Hortler: Rabid anything isn't attractive to me in a spiritual sense
<2021-06-05T00:49:16.000Z> JSDorn: Kind of. Eastern Orthodoxy includes Greek, Russian, Romanian, and many other nationally focused churches all in communion believing the same things
<2021-06-05T00:50:07.000Z> JSDorn: I had to leave politics completely before I was able to see clearly enough to convert to EO. Spent about a year away entirely. Slowly waded back in and slowly began to hate the Jew again
<2021-06-05T00:51:03.000Z> Hortler: Indeed. This sphere of influence can be pretty all consuming.
<2021-06-05T00:51:33.000Z> Hortler: Thanks for talking with me. I got one mo' question
<2021-06-05T00:52:02.000Z> JSDorn: Sure thjng
<2021-06-05T00:52:34.000Z> Hortler: If you were in the Fargo, ND area. Which church would you reach out to?
<2021-06-05T00:53:03.000Z> Hortler: I'm sure you don't know off the top, but if you could effort that would be helpful
<2021-06-05T00:59:10.000Z> JSDorn: Hmmm, well looking on Google maps I see an OCA parish and a Russian speaking parish in the city itself. OCA is mostly English speaking, mostly converts and also the kind I go to. Priest looks young (usually a good thing). The Russian churches website is in Russian and more than likely their liturgy is too, which might make it a bit inaccessible.
<2021-06-05T01:00:27.000Z> JSDorn: I would recommend checking out Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. See how it feels for you, talk to the priest and let him know what your questions are. He will probably have books he can recommend. Thats how I started out before I knew anything
<2021-06-05T01:01:58.000Z> Hortler: Ok. What is OCA? I'm not up there yet but planning to relocate for the summer at least. Is HROC the name of the church?
<2021-06-05T01:03:15.000Z> JSDorn: Orthodox Church in America was originally part of the Russian Orthodox Church but gained independence in the 1970s. They are perhaps the least ethnically flavored out of the Orthodox churches in America.
<2021-06-05T01:03:21.000Z> JSDorn: Yes it seems to be that one
<2021-06-05T01:04:10.000Z> JSDorn: OCA is in communion with the Russian and Greek churches, so the doctrines and liturgy would be the same, just in English
<2021-06-05T01:05:14.000Z> Hortler: Interesting. By in communion, is that more of a chartership sort of thing?
<2021-06-05T01:07:36.000Z> JSDorn: It's a little hard to explain. The Eastern Orthodox churches are all essentially one church (some exceptions to this but it's a long explanation) churches express this unity by "being in communion" it literally means that I can fully partake in the sacraments in all of them. The only differences would be the lower level hierarchy, maybe some less doctrinally relevant traditions and language.
<2021-06-05T01:10:57.000Z> Hortler: Makes sense. My last girlfriend was Catholic. Learned a degree more about the structure and such. She was highly interested in EO compared to the Roman variety. Sadly my antisemitism and occult background spooked her. I'm really not some shitty GTK Hail Satin sort of douche but will be outspoken if pushed.
<2021-06-05T01:11:49.000Z> Hortler: How is the overall community? I have a number of tattoos that a conservative would likely be judgey about.
<2021-06-05T01:12:58.000Z> Hortler: I remember meeting her extended family after church and felt a heavy degree of shade coming at me, to use millennial terms
<2021-06-05T02:30:45.000Z> JSDorn: The overall community is gonna be a mix of older people who have a strong ethnic attachment to the faith, boomers who might be a lot more based then they let on and young families, some of whom may be converts. The men often are the first in a family to convert to EO.
<2021-06-05T02:31:31.000Z> JSDorn: And while I can't speak to how a church in ND might approach tattoos, I think many would approach you with genuine interest before judgement.
<2021-06-05T02:32:48.000Z> JSDorn: Especially with the younger people. I'd definitely let the priest connect you with people, he will know who would be a good companion for you
<2021-06-05T04:09:25.000Z> Hortler: That's really good advice. I'll keep you updated once I'm up there but I assume we'll speak before then
<2021-06-05T15:08:28.000Z> JSDorn: We shall good sir. I look forward to hearing how everything goes
<2021-06-09T17:09:11.000Z> JSDorn: LoL did JJ call you a faggot?
<2021-06-09T17:09:49.000Z> Hortler: Oh hell yeah. Made me laugh heartily
<2021-06-09T17:10:23.000Z> Hortler: youtu.be/H-5u4DyMkAc
<2021-06-09T17:10:53.000Z> JSDorn: Made my day. You are a king sir
<2021-06-09T17:12:30.000Z> Hortler: I tried. Really glad Tommy didn't yell at me for being fail. Thankfully JJ is too stupid to Google anything
<2021-06-09T18:50:07.000Z> JSDorn: Yes, we live and learn. Thankfully JJ is literally retarded
<2021-06-09T18:56:09.000Z> JSDorn: Holy shit I got to the point where he thinks he has your phone number!!!
<2021-06-09T18:58:00.000Z> Hortler: He has a burner VoIP number of mine. I gave him the address to comet ping pong as my own. Was hoping that little Easter egg would pay off
<2021-06-09T18:59:55.000Z> JSDorn: Fucking awesome man. This is gonna be the best content
<2021-06-09T19:07:14.000Z> Hortler: You're mid listen?
<2021-06-09T19:14:21.000Z> JSDorn: Yeah, I've been picking it up throughout the day in-between calls
<2021-06-11T03:28:47.000Z> Hortler: youtu.be/CVj7UZs4mqw
<2021-06-11T03:29:03.000Z> Hortler: Lol he's Cory Flokstra
<2021-06-11T12:13:01.000Z> JSDorn: Yeah I knew that, my sleepy brain mixed up the names. To my eternal shame. The two men couldn't be any different
