<2022-01-12T21:33:10.000Z> Godcast: Any idea how many submissioms there are so far for the scifi writing contest?
<2022-01-13T00:03:05.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: So far we've received two in the past week, and I've heard from many other people that they're working on theirs still. Just have to edit/prep the two submissions and I can send those off to you this weekend
<2022-01-13T00:20:17.000Z> Godcast: Perfect. If you could hold onto them until the contest deadline, id appreciate it. Ill be reading them all at once
<2022-01-13T00:27:00.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: No problem, it's looking very promising!
<2022-01-13T00:29:49.000Z> Godcast: Very glad to hear it
<2022-01-13T00:30:04.000Z> Godcast: Im hoping for at least a dozen entries
<2022-01-13T00:35:16.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: We'll probably get close to that, if everybody who says they were making one sends one in. We'll be advertising it every week in case there's stragglers
<2022-01-13T00:37:56.000Z> Godcast: Excellent, thank you guys again
<2022-02-28T01:14:19.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: We've gotten around 8-9 entries so far with one day to go, looking good! They're all extremely high quality so far, lots of good guys sending their stuff in. We'll get the collated entries together for you by the 2nd - do you want one big PDF or a separate PDF for every entry?
<2022-02-28T01:53:11.000Z> Godcast: one PDF for each entry, please
<2022-02-28T01:55:05.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: sounds good
<2022-02-28T01:55:22.000Z> Godcast: Thanks
<2022-02-28T15:38:33.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: We just hit 12 submissions, so your goal was met! Hoping for a couple more to trickle in by the end of the day.
<2022-02-28T18:54:32.000Z> Godcast: Excellent

<2022-03-03T01:13:15.000Z> Godcast: Fantastic, thank you
<2022-03-14T20:52:59.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: Hey Miles, just wanted to check in - how's the contest judging coming along?
<2022-03-14T21:26:14.000Z> Godcast: Just started reading today. So far so good
<2022-03-22T00:35:20.000Z> Godcast: Lemme run an idea past you. A few of these stories have narrative breaks. When I compile them into a single volume, I'm thinking of splitting those particular works up across the compilation
<2022-03-22T01:14:12.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: Sure thing, that would work with us. What are your plans regarding creating/distributing the single volume?
<2022-03-22T01:17:55.000Z> Godcast: I'll be distributing it through you guys if that's fine.
<2022-03-22T01:18:51.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: tl;dr but also I wanted to let you know that we encountered some unforeseen circumstances last night and have decided to quietly withdraw and shut down TPS. We're both alright, and it's nothing too serious - just out of precautions for our own opsec given the circumstances that arrived. We're planning on creating one big PDF compilation with all the pieces that we will post on here rather than substack, our final big hurrah
<2022-03-22T01:19:20.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: So just let us know how you want them arranged and we will be able to distribute it
<2022-03-22T01:20:38.000Z> Godcast: Gotcha, I'm sorry to hear that
<2022-03-22T01:24:40.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: Thanks man. You got any early favorites for winner?
<2022-03-22T01:27:15.000Z> Godcast: Let it be thy Ship is the best of the ones I've read this far.
<2022-03-22T01:27:59.000Z> Godcast: Heavy Rains is out, it's really unclear what exactly is going on in that one
<2022-03-22T01:40:04.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: That one was excellent, I gotta give a plug for my nigga Umlauts' The Princess of Agartha. Just wanna battle space dragons in my mecha suit and die on an asteroid
<2022-03-22T02:01:02.000Z> Godcast: I'm looking forward to that one as well
<2022-03-22T04:00:13.000Z> Godcast: I had very little idea what was going on in Monday, and The Whistleblower seems to have misunderstood the prompt, but isn't bad
<2022-03-24T19:47:35.000Z> thepeoplessamizdat: A Mercy of Peace by Dorn was a banger IMO
<2022-03-24T20:13:27.000Z> Godcast: Nice
