<2022-04-19T00:37:41.000Z> hazlin: So, after reading back through all the quoted posts, it seems like spiritsplice's only point is, It was immoral when the Israelite didn't kill all the women and children like they were supposed to, and were only allowed to space the women that hadn't known a man.
<2022-04-19T00:39:18.000Z> hazlin: However, he missed that, the people in the Bible do lots of messed up stuff, just like people today.
<2022-04-19T00:40:06.000Z> hazlin: And, doesn't offer a critisim of anything meaningful, nor does it assert anything from his paganism.
<2022-04-19T05:39:40.000Z> GinNig: He does what alot of people do with the OT and assume if it's in there it must be seen as good. Which itself can be understood and worked with if he were acting in good faith and willing to listen rather just say "nu'uuuh" and make up excuses for his feelings.
<2022-04-19T05:44:12.000Z> GinNig: These pagans on fedi are really weird to me. When I was a pagan I at least believed the gods were real tangible beings and that there were real morals and the like. I didn't have good arguments, I was a teenager and didn't like the obvious hypocrisy and fakeness of the christianity we had in my home town (I also wasn't in a religious household) , but I believed they were more than the archetypal ideas. These guys just seem to be atheistic race-worshippers.
<2022-04-19T05:45:26.000Z> GinNig: That's the weirdest thing to me, they don't believe in anything, they just want white utopia that does what they want if it suits them.
<2022-04-19T06:08:22.000Z> hazlin: The argument is like, "my paganism is an example of a fake religion, just like yours". And, in general his argument became, "you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you are just lying".
<2022-04-19T06:09:11.000Z> hazlin: At that point at least it felt like he was honest "I don't believe in this stuff, no one does, not even you, your just like me, but pretending to believe."
<2022-04-19T06:12:43.000Z> hazlin: I hope, that when he is alone, God ministers to him, and he decides to ask Jesus for help, if He is real. It would be the best thing he ever did xD
<2022-04-19T06:13:12.000Z> GinNig: If he had the balls to outright say that I might have less distain for him. A statement of his beliefs, or admitted lack of belief, is better than what he is currently doing trying to get "one up" on everyone
<2022-04-19T06:14:35.000Z> GinNig: One can hope! My way to the church was a slow and very odd one, but it eventually happened. There is hope for as long as he lives
<2022-04-19T06:24:18.000Z> hazlin: Yes, similar for me, though I started in the Church, it was like I had to re-discover Jesus as an adult. Learned to act like a Christian before I met Jesus. God doesn't have grand children, just children, you cannot inherit a parents relationship. But, God didn't give up on me.
<2022-04-19T06:28:52.000Z> GinNig: God used my own paganism against me. He got me interested in a monotheistic paganism, then my dislike for scale mail battle bikinis to look for more motherly looking ideas for a tattoo of freyja I wanted. I ended up looking exclusively at depictions of Mother Mary. And with the help of natsoc orthodox podcasters (now known as unsavory types of people) I ended up here.
<2022-04-19T06:29:42.000Z> GinNig: So God can certainly judo flip these guys into considering opening up
<2022-04-19T06:30:17.000Z> hazlin: for sure, I suspect He is working on their hearts, or they wouldn't have any interest in the topic at all
<2022-04-19T06:30:41.000Z> hazlin: they are, trying to run away from Him, by confronting us
<2022-04-19T06:31:35.000Z> hazlin: I've actually heard a lot of testimonies of people in similar situations
<2022-04-19T06:34:14.000Z> GinNig: There are many such cases. No one will ever document a fraction of how many cases there are from the internet, but there are documented cases in history. Like St. Nicholas of Japan and his converting a samurai who came to kill him
<2022-04-19T06:35:09.000Z> GinNig: At least that one comes to mind first. I've heard that Pontius Pilate and his family converted
<2022-04-19T06:44:53.000Z> hazlin: I only new a little about St. Nicholas' younger years
<2022-04-19T06:46:13.000Z> hazlin: I think my mother was reading about him recently, I'll have to see if she was a book on him
<2022-04-19T06:47:40.000Z> GinNig: He's not too well known, but he's got a few interesting details about him. One detail I remember is he spent 10 years in Japan before he began preaching and trying to spread the faith. He spent that time learning the language and culture
<2022-06-15T17:47:07.000Z> hazlin: I looked for it yesterday, but did not find it. However, shadowman has repoasted the PF stuff poa.st/@Shadowman311/posts/AKWHq1Ncc0sf4nmvmi
<2022-06-17T13:27:46.000Z> GinNig: I'm just seeing this now (I took the numbers off all notifications), and that tracks with things we've seen before. Not really a surprise anymore
