<2021-11-30T08:01:12.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: Heyo,
<2021-11-30T08:01:46.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I was looking for more info on salary range, timezones, remote work, and a rough outline of the responsibilities
<2021-11-30T08:02:02.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: Also, if I get doxxed (or you get doxxed) am I fired?
<2021-11-30T08:03:57.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: my background is in engineering and comp sci. I work currently in a software engineering role. Mostly linux, shell, python, and C
<2021-11-30T09:04:42.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: pay and responsibilities depends a lot on what you can do, i have more than enough work to hire multiple people, but remote yes timezone PST or CET
<2021-11-30T09:08:30.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: >if doxxedno. afaik there's no issue there. we are an anonymous team, at least some of us are, so just don't post anything that is connected to whatever politics you do
<2021-11-30T09:08:51.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: i don't know what you're worried about with that but if you're doing some political activism i don't want to ever learn about it
<2021-11-30T09:11:29.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: >timezoneswhat i am doing right now is i meet once or twice a week for an hour on Discord to catch up and then we dump our progress in chat. I try to keep meetings to a minimum. you can more or less keep any hours you want as long as you get good work done. live on a beach in thailand or something if you want idc
<2021-11-30T09:14:52.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: >currently softwarecan you say more about what your work experience is? we are in defi so for a dev role, solidity is pretty essential, but it's just another language you can pick it up fast enough (at least I did). For research work, more interest would be data analytics, big part of that role would sort of me trying to delegate my work to you which involves a lot of web searches, fundamental analysis, market research, it involves reading technical reports on emerging blockchain technology, white papers by teams, making decisions on which market to enter. ideally you'd be able to handle some or all of that but even someone who can summarize part would lighten my workload noticeably
<2021-11-30T09:15:34.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: does that make any sense?
<2021-11-30T11:50:03.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: > SalaryReasonable. I'm looking for something equal to or better than my current salary. I'm not in the states though, so my main concern I how I pay my taxes when receiving crypto from a foreign anon. But that's a question for my account
<2021-11-30T11:50:15.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: > hours
<2021-11-30T11:50:53.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: That's fine. I've worked with a team spread across Australia, UK, Boston, and Minnesota for the past few years and that's been fine
<2021-11-30T11:51:38.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I've been working from home since COVID, so I'm ok with managing myself and working as part of a remote team
<2021-11-30T11:52:39.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I graduated in 2018, bachelors in engineering (mechatronics) and bachelors in science (comp sci)
<2021-11-30T11:54:08.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I've been working for a company that builds industrial networking hardware from the boards to the cloud orchestration system. I've been working in the section of the company that maintains its own custom Linux distribution for embedded systems
<2021-11-30T11:54:49.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: My role has been a mix of developing new features, adding to old ones, upgrading and patching packages, and writing test scripts
<2021-11-30T11:55:55.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: Our Dev stuff is C or shell. Our testing is python. We do every in a Linux env. As part of other things, I was involved in a bunch of CI and containers stuff
<2021-11-30T11:56:34.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I've been in this approximate role since I graduated. 3 years
<2021-11-30T11:58:43.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: The role you've described sounds ideal for me. I've done a very small amount of solidity (I would still need to polish up to be of any use). In my spare time I follow the markets and crypto. I'm very comfortable with math, technical reports, financial analysis, statistics, and crypto
<2021-11-30T11:59:52.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: I'm happy to do dev work, I'm happy to do research, collation, and analysis
<2021-11-30T12:03:24.000Z> Christ_is_Lord: In terms of doxxing, I'm not going anything that will have irl consequences. I just worry about you getting black bagged
<2021-11-30T12:14:28.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: I'll be fine. we're not doing anything illegal. Make sure to follow the law and pay taxes based on whatever is the requirement where you live
<2021-11-30T12:15:22.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: In many countries you don't owe tax until you sell the crypto, so you could conceivably get away with not paying any tax if you never sold. depends on the laws
<2021-11-30T12:15:49.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: some countries like portugal don't tax crypto at all. we have a tax attorney but he specializes in us law
<2021-11-30T12:17:31.000Z> fluffy@social.handholding.io: go ahead and add me on Discord I'm hhi#6661 we can talk some more about this. I think for solidity we might want more experience but I can walk you through how to get that. In terms of the research, yeah, that'd be great, ideally you've written research reports before or legal briefs or that sort of thing
