<2023-04-18T05:09:27.000Z> Dan_Hulson: You did well coming clean mate a have been clean from Opiates and coke for about 7 yrs coke and crack ain't too bad kick but your Opiate addiction never quite leaves you. You dream about it and it leaves your emotions erratic and that never quite goes but it gets easier and you struggle to get motivated without it. If you ever want chat I'm always here, brother
<2023-04-18T05:11:32.000Z> BasedLord: Thanks man. people who have never been addicted to hard drugs really don't get how truly life consuming it becomes.
<2023-04-18T05:12:39.000Z> BasedLord: I am grateful that I never got hard into opiates. I have friends who did however and the withdrawals are just as bad, if not worse, than alcohol withdrawals.
<2023-04-18T05:13:33.000Z> Dan_Hulson: Last think I quit was 180ml of Methadone like 4 years ago but I haevn't touch brown in nearly 7yrs
<2023-04-18T05:14:21.000Z> BasedLord: At the time if I had my own place I probably would have done them a lot more but I ended up leaning more towards uppers because often times I would have to couch surf and drive while high and it was much easier to move about than being zonked on the body high of opiates and alcohol.
<2023-04-18T05:14:57.000Z> BasedLord: My best friend use to shoot up many years ago. He's told me many stories of the ins and outs of it. You have my deepest sympathy.
<2023-04-18T05:16:34.000Z> Dan_Hulson: So, you were into stone/crack that takes over your life quick within 30 min you are pecking round on the floor looking for bits it's crazy. and thanks I'm fine now but if you ever need talk there are a few ex addicts on here. Well done brother I shall pray for you too
<2023-04-18T05:27:21.000Z> BasedLord: The comedown off of it was normally very intense but not super prolonged. Once the effects wore off, if I was able to get some sleep after that point I could manage the cravings somewhat for a few days but the environments I was seeking out at the time gave me the ability to get high with other people so often times I could convince people to let me get high with them under the ruse that I would smoke them out or get them back when I got my next bag.
<2023-04-18T05:30:52.000Z> BasedLord: The physical side of the comedown isn't anywhere nearly as dangerous as other drugs though. In the rehabs I went to, I saw firsthand the physical side of people trying to kick tar or liquor. The first rehab I went to the guy in the room next to me was having a real rough time the first few days getting off H and unlucky for him, the roomate he had was an absolute retard. He would flick the lights on and off and ask the nurses for melatonin which he would then snort. I thought at several points the guy kicking H was going to kill him lmao
<2023-04-18T05:31:17.000Z> BasedLord: He did wig out on the tard and attacked him with the lamp he insisted on fiddling with.
<2023-04-18T05:33:18.000Z> Dan_Hulson: The only advice I can give to you is always to avoid your former friends as they will drag you back in. Also if you have struggled with one addiction you CAN struggle with others so be careful with booze and anything else you take I try and avoid all drugs and I drink like once a month. But your over the hump now and will be fine but I know it creeps in your mind most days so just be careful and if you want chat I'm always here, mate, for any reason
